At the start of the Attitude era in 1998 the year the WWF starting getting equal to WCW and catching up, then going neck/neck with them until The Rock’s feud with Mcmahon & subsequent heel turn during the fall of 1998 had the WWF surpass WCW.
Sable was one of the top factors for that, along with The Rock/Nation, DX, Austin/McMahon, Taker/Kane, Foley etc
The first ever Evening Gown match(basically the first Bra and Panties match) helped Unforgiven 1998 get 309,482 buys.
The next month you had the exact same Austin/Foley main event this time with more stakes and story, with Vince as ref and it got 211,751 buys, which is 1997 type numbers.
Sable is given another marquee match... or rather Bikini Contest at Fully Loaded in your house, where she basically goes nude and drives the buys to 329,026 buys where the main event was a throwaway tag match between Austin/Taker/Kane/Mankind that would happen on any Raw, yet that that PPV drew more than the big five ppv King of the Ring that featured the infamous Taker/Mankind hiac & Austin/Kane first blood, which had 310,325 buys.
