I think he should have Big O come in and tag with him honestly. Could help him, and Big O does look quite impressive, could help him a little.

If Ryder wants to have some success again he's gonna have to take a page out of his own book again and change himself and go out and make it happen which I think is gonna come sooner rather than later or at least I hope so for his sake. That said any complaints Ryder has are valid they shouldn't have even touched his show. They took something he made a success all on his own and had to mess with it. And of course that disaster of a feud with Kane ruined his momentum. Kind of hoping ultimately WWE messing with his show and such are gonna be driving forces behind storyline and character change for him but not gonna give WWE that much credit yet.

If Ryder legitimately feels that WWE is sabotaging him, he should really just get a release and go on about his Youtube vids on a separate channel and try to be an entrepreneur of sorts. And then when he realizes that was a completely stupid decision, he can come back to WWE and hope they still let him do his Youtube videos. That would pretty much prove to everyone including Ryder that Ryder never made himself despite what some people want to believe.

Needless to say, he needs to understand that the stuff he airs is still technically a WWE product and the fact he gets his hands on it so much is a privilege that not many wrestlers get.

I'm no Ryder fan, I cant stand the Jersey Shore gimmick but WWE damn sure didn't do anything to benefit him. He was most over when WWE was barely using him because of his Youtube show. WWE have just done all they can to ignore and bury the guy because he got himself over and wasn't told to do so. Dont go against the WWE machine, Vince only likes what he creates.

I'm finding it hard to care at this stage. The guy worked his ass off to get noticed, and became really over with the fans, so in that sense it was a shame to see his push end just after it had started.

In saying that though, I was never a fan of his in the first place. His gimmick got annoying quickly and I think he's fairly mediocre in the ring. If I were him I'd stop making the videos altogether, because making subtle jokes about his position on the roster and what not clearly hasn't done anything for him this year.

Never understood why they did the stupid angle with Eve and understood even less why they had him buried by Kane when he was at his hottest..... that said, I think he got to the peak of where he could go with that schtick... Best thing to do, IMO, is take him off TV for a couple months, have him return at the Rumble and make a decent run, then bring him out the next night on Raw and see if the crowd cares.

Not a bad idea tbh but I think a gimmick change is in order.

I don't agree with that at all. If they wanted to be rid of him, they could have told him to stay off YouTube entirely. They could have kept him off TV completely, kept him off the road and house shows. They could have kept him at home without any mention on WWE programming, their website, house shows, or just cut him loose to go work the indies.

They put the guy on TV, put him in segments with Cena repeatedly. The put a title on him. They had him win a battle royale on TV as part of a storyline to push him. They're using his little videos as part of their heavily promoted YouTube programming "channel". They had him doing promotional appearances at places like Comic Con in San Diego, which gets national press coverage.

So I don't think it's as simple as Vince hated that Ryder did something for himself and was out to destroy his career. Questionable booking, maybe considering the results weren't great. Then again, I think Ryder has to bring something more to get over too. Maybe guys that do create buzz on their own may get some resentment, but it's not like Vince hasn't hired guys with existing fanbases and existing characters. And it's not like he hasn't worked with self-starters who came to him saying "I think I can make this idea work better than what I've been doing before."

Ryder was getting bigger pops than Cena but was relegated to Superstars. There were Ryder chants but he was stuck in dark matches for months before they finally pushed him and then subsequently buried him for Cena's benefit.

My only gripe is that they ended his US Title reign so quick when I thought it could have been a great one. The fact that he treated I like he won the world title made the title mean something, you felt winning the belt was actually a big deal.

Looking at last night's match, now one can legitimately argue that they are burying Ryder. Not due to the loss, though they booked it so that he didn't even try to fight his way out of a submission. It's the way they not only ridiculed his attitude regarding the issues over his interviews talking about his place on the roster, but also his grips over his YouTube shows. I found it interesting they'd mock the YouTube shows as that's part of the overall package of YouTube programming that the WWE had been trying to make into a big deal.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them do this for a week or two, then have him disappear.

They won't fire him, so Ryder fans better get used to watching him being Yoshi Tatsu.

Sad thing is, his gimmick is what fucks him over. But he won't be able to change that. He's a babyface the fans love. The children go wild when he's around(Not sure about now, but when he was getting his push) I'd really like to see him doing more tag team stuff with someone who isn't Santino. But maybe he could have an edgier gimmick also. Nothing that will take away from the goofiness, but maybe something that will show he's here to play.

It's tough because the crowd still chants along when he does his broski boot thing, he still gets a decent pop when his music hits (not that we see it on TV), I'm not sure of the exact numbers but I think his merch does pretty well, yet they continue to bury him and I can't blame them. I think the days of a complete gimmick change are behind us but he definitely needs some tweeking.
