People are kind of sick of Jericho's shit now though IMO, he turns up for a 3 month stop gap feud for one of WWE's top guys and puts them over, nothing new or innovative about what he's been doing either.RVD will have the initial buzz good for a few months. Don't know why everyone is assuming he'll be the spotmonkey of the MITB though, guy hasn't been an athletic highflyer type for about a decade. Bryan will most likely be doing the big spots in the match.

This is kind of what I think, he either needs to stick around for longer or take longer off and return for a really big feud. Sooner rather than later he should retire, has had a good career.

His in it for the money too, he just won't ever out right say it like Rob or Brock. Jericho isn't doing it for purely love like Rock either because unlike Rock or Cena if he retired tomorrow, the fact is he's not that great, and most of what he does flops outside the ring (he's had multiple shows cancelled) or in the case of Fozzy never did bloom (Cenas cd shits on his music career) even with promotion by the wwe machine

Yes but at least Jericho has other things outside of wresting, can see Cena becoming another Hogan where wrestling defines his life and he stays on why past his prime. Not only that but he has totally been sold on the WWE blueprint whereas Jericho I could see wrestling for other companies.

But Cena could leave tomorrow and still make millions off endorsements, reality tv, another cd, and even USA network shows or movies. He's just better than Jericho

Jericho would never work for any other wrestling company, he has said that on every platform possible. He will not go back to Japan, it is not the same place he left in the 90s. TNA is purgatory and trhere is absolutely nothing after that.

Cena is a company man who will do whatever the bosses tell him to do, if he was to put over Zack Ryder clean on Mainevent, he will. He is the performer McMahon has been looking for his whole life, hence the reason he is the goto guy for all mainevent programs.

This is about RVD isn't it?

^ Without the WWE machine behind him I have my doubts. He is one of those cases where I can only see him being successful in wrestling.

RVD isn't succesful outside this industry. Is this what this is about?

Cena being succesful without WWE is a moot point, what would he want to be instead of a professional wrestler? We can say the same shit about Rock or Austin too. These tangents never make any sense.

1. No, it was using the comparison between Jericho part-time and how RVD might work part-time, which then got onto how Jericho would fare if he did retire.

2. TBF The Rock was a success in Hollywood on his own terms, it had very little to do with his wrestling career. Reality is hardly any wrestlers make it big outside of wrestling, look at Hogan. We did get a little of topic but that's just how these things go sometimes.

To try to get things back on track, does anyone think we will see something else for RVD before the MITB PPV. Will we get a pretaped promo from him or a new video for them to show or will they just replay that same video again and again?

Think they should at least do something like a promo so that it feels a little more than just a special attraction appearance. Either that or they could do some past WWE history stuff featuring him.

I do think that a fresh video for the last week before MITB would be a good idea. Changes things up a bit and they can highlight why this match is perfect for him.
