Just curious as to what everybody thought of my first RP. I know it was long and that many of you may have looked at it and not bothered reading it, but for those who took the time to read it, I'd like to know what you thought.

Haha wow, I didn't expect that! Thank you, I definitely appreciate it.

It was only my first RP, so it depends if I can sustain that in the long run. I'm hoping I can as I enjoyed writing that RP.

It was great and I'm not a huge fan of interview segments. Once you get into character development things outside of the ring it really opens up and you will be great at it. I like to go back and forth with mine one week in the ring a week or two out. It's good to have interview segments and in ring segments but in RPs it's just as good to have the out of ring moments; at home, the bar, partying, doing things that this guy if he were real would be doing. What you wrote does work Im not knocking it in a match against you right now I would be worried, I think we all would I didn't expect an RP like this outta the gate. Try to keep some stuff in reserve though also you write to much are you going to have enough to work with in the following weeks? Also in RPs length doesn't always mean your the winner, again not knocking you but some people i've dealt with have written pages more than their opponent and lost just because what the opponent was, was better. But again not knocking yours just throwing it out there for everyone in the fed to take into account.

I've always had an issue with length when it comes to e-fedding, so that's something I'm totally aware of already.

Thanks for the feedback as it's definitely appreciated. I didn't hold anything back as I felt I needed to address my character's background so everybody could understand the gimmick a little better and in more detail. Originally I wasn't supposed to tell the "story" for so long, but various little ideas kept popping into my head that added more detail and depth to the background, so I went with them.

I couldn't think of another way to be able to explain my character's background in detail without making it an interview RP, so I had to go with that. I didn't want to because I know interview RPs are generall considered basic, but I thought it was my best option to begin with. I'll actually be doing the same with my tag team if one of my opponents post. Again, I don't really want to, but it's my best option for explaining their background.

Ironically in mine I did the opposite but think if I'd done a little interview segment in it somewhere it would have helped so if we'd mish mashed the two...

Yo yo yo hold up a second there. Just cause you don't think you can beat the likes of some of the folks here is no reason to bail out or try less and try harder elsewhere. This is exactly what is needed to get better. See the others that you are like... there is no way I can beat them, see what they do, what they write, how they write it, their style, incorporate all of that into your stuff. Use their "better than you" stuff as your motivation to get better.

Really if that was my thought process I would have quit back in '02. Yeah that's how long I've been doing it and trust me... I completely sucked. My first RP which included intro, speech, ending, descriptions, was all a 5 or 6 sentence paragraph. That was the entirety of everything. I stuck with it, worked on getting better. My goal... a 1 page RP. Simple but that's where I went. After that I looked to extend that. It isn't like I went page a year or anything no cause that'd be dumb. But to get better at storytelling, but also slower at it to extend storylines and ... well anyways.

stick with it. It'll kick your butt at the beginning but trust me... this is a whole lot more fun than trashtalking. I didn't start officially trashtalking until 2 years ago and I was a beast at it cause of all the RP work I did. It really boosts your creativity.

This concludes my motivational talk. :D

I must say that is interesting. I enjoyed it. Fun character you got there. Can't wait to see what he gonna do next and who the person on the phone was.

Yeah well I find RPing for some reason more interesting than TTing, and I wrote my first RP sometimes in August this year and my first TT sometimes in January, so yeah. I think that if I finally catch the wave of free time I can do wonders.

Also.. for the third time..
