Rumours of the WWE belt being stripped post-Rumble (from several sources) so that spanners the duel duty plans, if it's even true

I'd say this is highly likely since they're doing it with the tag belts rn too seemingly

I still think KO and Sammy winning the tag belts off Usos is the story there but at this point I'm less sure with how fucking over Sami has gotten

I think this was/is the plan, but sometime you gotta strike while the iron is hot. cody is locked in for years he can wait

oh i agree. which is why i dont think it matter at all who he beats for it. Sami on the other hand, only makes sense to become world champion by beating roman. its just such a better moment. cody can have his moment against anyone so with him missing the whole year already, i dont see the harm in him waiting his turn a bit longer.

tldr i do think Sami "DESERVES" the mania title win more than anyone on the roster and should be rewarded. I will understand if they want to push the more marketable cody however.

There's a chance, I think the difference here tho would be the KO tag title route is also fine booming where Bryan wasn't doing shit, so they're more likely to be content instead of protesting

If Rock doesn’t do the match this year then we should say fuck it. Just accept that he’ll always be too busy to wrestle anymore. There’s been like multiple instances over the last ten years where he was supposed to have a match and just kept saying “I’m too busy”. It sucks but it is what it is.
