Since we've been asked about his potential return for some time, PWInsider.com is told that Edge is penciled in to return at the WWE Royal Rumble PPV. He was last seen at the Extreme Rules PPV in October, losing to Finn Balor in an I Quit Match.

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix is also slated for the Rumble we are told.

The word making the rounds at TV this week was that Doudrop would be back around that time as well, returning to the Raw brand. She noted recently online that she's been away for an extended period due to an illness.

Logan Paul is absolutely being talked about in regard to an appearance at the Rumble as well, as long as his knee is rehabbed and he's ready to go.​

Worth pointing out that this is not a confirmation from the newsletter that Rock won't be at the show. Just that he's told people that he's not in ring shape. The first sentence from the OP is not in the WON. This was also written:

That sounds like opinion more than reporting, but believe who you want

regardless of what happens, it's not really about cardio. it's taking bumps. We've heard from a lot of ex wrestlers coming back say that multiple matches > one match because it's extremely easy to injure yourself without taking bumps ahead of time and the recovery time is horrible. It's not as simple as just "getting in shape and cardio" as this dude's twitter seems to imply.

Again, I'm not going to say what's for sure going to happen as Meltzer is just reporting what he has been told by his source, but ya, big difference between in ring shape and regular beefcake shape. theres also the XFL stuff that Meltzer mentioned and said the teases for new merchandise is to promote raw 30. make of that what you will.
