Ronda Rousey added yet another occupation to her resume this past weekend when she appeared at WWE's WrestleMania 31 alongside her good friend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in a spot where she tossed one wrestler and chucked an executive out of the ring.
Rousey is a huge professional wrestling fan and has attended shows in the past, but Sunday night was the first time she ever actually got in the ring and took part in a WWE event.
Rousey was pulled into the ring by Johnson before a "confrontation" with WWE co-owner Stephanie McMahon and her real-life husband Paul Levesque (better known to wrestling fans as Triple H). Ultimately, Rousey tossed HHH to the ground and got McMahon into an armbar, before the pair went scurrying out of the ring, leaving Johnson and Rousey to bask in the Levi's Stadium crowd's fervor, the undisputed winners of WWE's signature event.
While the deal to get Rousey to appear in the WWE was in the works for several months, her agent, Brad Slater from William Morris Endeavor, who also represents Johnson, told UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani on Wednesday that this was a one-shot deal and the UFC women's bantamweight champion isn't scheduled to appear on WWE programming again this year.
Slater said there is no guarantee of anything else in the works.
WWE fans were certainly rabid for more Rousey at Monday's edition of "Raw," where her name was shouted loudly throughout the arena when McMahon appeared on stage.
But when it comes to Rousey’s next foray in the ring, Slater said it is all about Bethe Correia on Aug. 1 in the main event of UFC 190. And while Slater promised Rousey will be 100 percent focused on beating Correia when she gets back into training camp, Rousey will first return to another one of her endeavors, filming the movie "Mile 22," which is set to go into production later this month.
Rousey, who starred in last year's action ensemble flick "The Expendables 3," will have plenty of eyes on her this weekend, as well -- she has a role in "Furious 7," the latest installment in the "Fast and Furious" series, which opens in theaters Friday.
