Rocky Maivia won the IC title from Hunter Hearst Helmsley on the February 13th 1997 Thursday Raw Thursday. He lost the title to Owen Hart on the the April 28th 1997 Raw. Now known as The Rock, he won his 2nd title on December 8th 1997 on Raw from Steve Austin, when Austin handed the title over to him. He lost the title to Triple H on August 30th 1998 in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam.

Ken Shamrock

Ken Shamrock won the vacant IC title in a tournament final by defeating X-Pac on the October 12th 1998 Raw. He lost the title to Val Venis on February 14th 1999 at In Your House: St. Valentine’s Day Massacre with Billy Gunn as the special Referee.
