Clearly most of Austin's run was as a face and I don't think he could ever get heel heat like Sgt. Slaughter did when he became an Iran sympathizer.

Austin in his feud with Bret before he turned face did more for me than Slaughter did. Not to mention the two man power trip being one of my favorite short lived time periods ever. What he did to Lita was one of the most fucked up heel things I've ever seen.
