Dory Funk Jr. won the NWA title from Gene Kiniski on February 11th 1969 in Tampa, FL. He lost the title to Harley Race on March 24th 1973 in Kansas City, MO.

Kerry Von Erich

Kerry Von Erich won the NWA title from Ric Flair on May 6th 1984 at Parade of Champions. He lost the title back on May 24th 1984 in Yokosuka, Japan.

Dory was one of the pillars at that time and his title reign was very impressive, Kerry just held it for a couple of weeks.
