Awesome was one of the biggest heat magnets of the Attitude Era, when he left for WCW the Philly crowd legit wanted to kill him after that. Check out Styles on commentary for the first WWE One Night Stand "suicide dive by Mike Awesome, and its a shame he didnt actually take his own life". Bet he feels shitty about saying that now though.

Sheamus is kinda lame as a heel anyway, much prefer him as a babyface.

And WCW completely wrecked him. Its like WCW just looked to grab whoever they could and turn them into crap. But the way Awesome left ECW... he kinda deserved the hate he got.

For real, after going through all the contract trouble and paying him a gigantic signing on fee, they gave one of the best big men in the game a bag of shitty gimmicks.

What a mess that company was.

I enjoyed Sheamus heel until they done the pathetic Santino job with him. But no, he don't beat Mike Awesome.

I think overall Sheamus can play any character better than Awesome and Sheamus' quick rise has actually helped this easy transition to face for him. I'm going with Sheamus.
