This is why I'm voting, btw. Barry looks interested in Magic but then votes Smark for bad reasons. That doesn't feel natural at all.

Haven't played a game with multiple town alignments, but my first thought after reading that part wasn't to go and ask who's Shu aligned.

That's my issue with it. He knows it's null. He mentioned that specifically in post game so why start a new game with it?

In a vacuum, it's an entrance nobody can really argue with because its town utility is apparent. Of course since he did it last game he's not very likely to get anyone to follow this time around, but the WIFOM of starting a game the same way he did as scum last game is sure to draw reactions as well.
