ROH Tag Team Championships Vacated

Due to the unfortunate departure of Kenny King, one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, The All Night Express has been officially stripped of the ROH World Tag Team Titles, thus rendering the championship titles officially VACANT.

As a result ROH officials have determined that there will be an 8 Team Tag Tournament beginning on August 3rd in Baltimore at The Du Burns Arena with the entire opening round of matches being featured at the “Ring of Honor Wrestlingâ€￾ TV Tapings.

ROH officials have also determined that the tournaments semi-finals and finals will take place at a later date. With that being said, ROHWrestling.com was also informed that the first team entered into the field will be:

The 7-Time Former ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe!!

8 Team Tournament? Let's see, we've got: Briscoes, Coleman & Alexander, WGTT, Bravados, Young Bucks, Corino & Jacobs(?)

Are the Guardians of Truth working more dates? Will Rhett find a new partner? Who? Jay Lethal is black, he could replace King without anyone noticing!

As disappointed as I am with the situation surrounded the titles being vacated, the tournament should not disappoint. I am really looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

I was just thinking the same thing.

I hope they can get all of these on TV, it could be confusing for the opening round to be on TV and the rest to be done live and stuff. Anyone have any suggestions on who should win or other teams they'd like to see?

I'm really hoping the likes of WGTT or The Briscoes don't get the straps again, what else can they do with them right now? A new team needs them. Coleman & Alexander are hard working, I could see them getting the belts. Corino & Jacobs would be sweet for the whole take over thing.
