ROH Signs Hass and Benjamin

Ring of Honor issued the following today:


ROH officials are excited to announce that the ROH World Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin, collectively known as Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team, have signed their names on the dotted line and are officially under contract to Ring of Honor Wrestling!

Excellent signing by ROH. These two are an incredible tag team and have found their niche in ROH after poor final runs in WWE. With the new owners and new tv tapings coming up ROH needed to get their wrestlers under contract and to get some big names like this it is great. It shows that ROH care about tag team wrestling and I look forward to seeing what this team do from here on.

This the first of many big steps for ROH in the coming months. So far the relationship between Haas/Benjamin and ROH has been benefincal for both sides, and the duo have decent enough name value to be an ascent for the promotion in years to come, there are many fresh possiblities for them in ROH.

Im not understanding this fully.. I mean it's a great move to sign both of them, but haven't they been ROH tag team champions since like April fool's day? So they haven't been under contract for that long? It doesn't seem to really matter though, because as KFC said despite their failure final runs with the WWE, they've reunited and made the world's greatest tag team happen once again.

ROH are improving a lot here, with a new TV deal and such. ROH could overtake TNA here... This is going to be interesting always been a fan of Haas & Benjamin so I will be watching more ROH even though they've been there since April.

When the tv show starts they will stream it online on ROH website. If a station here can show it that would be awesome. Maybe FoxSports.

They were on a deal before and I assume this is an extension.

One of the new digital channels would be a good choice, those two plus whatever 9's extra channel is would be a good choice.

Isn't NWA On Fire a local show or is it international?

NWA On Fire is American I believe. Never ever heard of NWA being in Australia and I know Australia's Independent Wrestling scene quite well.

ROH on 7MATE would be great and the ratings would explode here. Everyone is into wrestling and having ROH on a deal would be awesome!
