my NJ thoughts to go with the results posted:

I didnt think Reyes/Kingston was that short actually. Kingston should give Hero lessons on throwing elbows that look like they hurt. Hero came out after the match crying about how Kingston wont get another shot at him. it's tough to root for Stevens and Albright anymore after theyve been hanging out with Colt. good match,SSB looked good again. heard lots of Hero hate,Dutt was fast as ever. Hero did more rest holds than usual and like the previous night didnt over do the elbows. he puts the "loaded" elbow pad on his foot,kicks Sonjay,fatpants looks at the elbow pad on his foot then counts the pinfall. Nana was in good form,sadly he was on the other side of the ring most of the time. Claudio got to do more in Edison than Boston. disappointed at the finish. Rave actually hit Necro(to no effect) with the chair at least once. good tag with King/Titus vs. Payne and Grizzly. the last two have improved although i was disappointed that they were used against Kenny/Rhett.nice to have Ryan submit in his first singles match in. he did his best with what little he had to work with as Colt isnt know for making his opponent look decent let alone good. man Colt has the lamest offense. guy in front of me was disgusted with Cabana and his WWE comedy match. great action in the tag title match,Edwards goes over Dragon as I had predicted. Steen was down for almost 10 minutes after going through the table. first on the floor then on the apron. great work by both teams. no surprise Steen and Davey were in the best matches both nights. the main event description was pretty much accurate although i think the finish snuck up on people. I believe Jerry did a clothesline and then finished him off. lots of good action early. i believe the fan Jerry told off was one of the 11 year old kids who earlier in the show was asking/hoping to see one wrestler suck the others dick,to give you a reference to what kind of class(or ass) he was dealing with. return is November 28th.

8. Jerry Lynn beat Jay Briscoe via a Cradle Tombstone Piledriver. Jay kicked out of a Package Piledriver and Lynn kicked out of a JayDriller. "no crowd heat for the finish". Post match, Lynn cuts an in-ring promo telling the negitive fan in the crowd to "shut the F up and go watch WWE". "Disappointing ME, never got into the next gear... disappointing finish to an otherwise good show".

Results from last night's tv taping (Credit:pWinsider)

Before the taping begins, Ric Flair comes to the ring to a huge standing ovation. He puts over the Philadelphia crowd and their enthusiasm, respect, and wildness. He talks about how he came to ROH three months ago to become ROH Ambassador, but he wants to be straight with the crowd and tell the fans that he's decided to go back to WWE, which surprisingly got applause from the crowd. He put over the company and how hard everyone works to bring a good product to the fans, but he realizes that he belongs in WWE and that's where he wants to finish his career. He thanks the fans for accepting him as part of Ring Of Honor and tells everyone to keep supporting ROH.

Episode #13

-The show opens with Austin Aries coming out to the ring to address the crowd. He says with his good looks and youthful exuberance, he's fooled a lot of people into thinking he's a hot young prospect, but the reality is that he's a seasoned, well-traveled veteran. He says that no matter where he travels, the level of competition makes ROH the best stage in professional wrestling, and it's all because of the fickle, demanding, bloodthirsty fans. He's come out here trying to give the fans more and more, but it's never enough and it ends now because Aries is going to stop giving and start taking. He says the first thing he's taken in ROH is the spotlight, the second thing he took was everything Jerry Lynn, Tyler Black, and Bryan Danielson had to throw at him in the four way a few weeks ago and nobody could beat him. He called out Jerry Lynn, demanding that he come out to the ring and hand Aries the ROH World Title. Lynn didn't show, so Aries said that the reality Lynn refuses to face is going to have to come smack him in the head.

-Jay Briscoe defeated D'Lo Brown by countout

D'Lo is a lot bigger in person than he looks on TV. The match started fast with Jay going right after D'Lo. D'Lo tried taking a powder to the floor, but Jay went after him and sent him back in the ring. Briscoe with a cross body for two, but D'Lo got a leapfrog out of the corner and hit a lungblower on Briscoe to take control. Briscoe mounts a comeback, but D'Lo shuts him down with a big clothesline. Dueling D'Lo and Briscoe chants. D'Lo with a big vertical suplex for two before working Briscoe over in the corner with chops. D'Lo gets a small pop with the head bobble, but eats boot on a corner charge and then takes a flatliner into the second turnbuckle. Briscoe started going to work on D'Lo and gets a shoulderblock and a Death Valley Driver for two. D'Lo reverses out of the Jay Driller and goes for a Sky High, but Briscoe reverses to a Frankensteiner to send D'Lo to the floor. D'Lo stalls outside the ring and stays out there until he gets counted out. Briscoe grabs the mic, calls D'Lo a bitch, and demands he come back into the ring. D'Lo teases that he'd come back, but changes his mind and heads to the back instead. This was much better than their New York match from a few months ago until the stupid finish.

-Kevin Steen & El Generico defeated Bobby Fish & Silas Young

Steen takes a side headlock on Fish to start before coming off the ropes with a shoulderblock. Steen goes to work on Fish and Young tries to nail Steen from the outside, but Steen nails Fish with a spinning heel kick before tagging out to Generico, who gets two off a drop toehold/somersault legdrop combo. Young tags in, but Generico gets the corner punches with the crowd chanting in Spanish. Generico with another spinning heel kick for two. A distraction from Fish on the outside allows Young to hit a stiff lariat to take control. Fish with a snap suplex for two and a tag out to Young, who goes to work with shoulderblocks in the corner. Young with a big slam, and a Northern Lights Suplex for two. Tag back out to Fish who starts pounding away on Generico, but Generico counters a piledriver attempt and tries to go for the tornado DDT, but slips and falls off the ropes. Generico tags out to Steen who cleans house, hitting the pop-up powerbomb on Fish and a jawbreaker on Young. Generico with a clothesline sends Young to the outside, allowing Steen to hit the Swanton on Fish for two. Young back in the ring to trade waistlocks with Steen but Young ends up in the corner and eats the big Yakuza Kick from Generico, who then gives one to Fish. Package Piledriver/Brainbuster combo wins it for Steen & Generico.

After the match, Kyle Durden comes out to get a word with Steen & Generico. Steen says that all the Wolves did with the Tables Match was make Steen & Generico hungrier and angrier, and they're coming to get their titles back.

-Jimmy Rave defeated Grizzly Redwood

Before the match, Prince Nana comes out and sings the praises of Jimmy Rave, praising his brains and ability to sell out ROH shows. Jimmy comes out to the usual toilet paper treatment. Jimmy suckerpunches Grizzly to start and pounds away in the corner. Rave misses a cross corner charge and Grizzly tries a comeback, but Rave shuts him down with a big lariat. Rave rams Grizzly into the corner and pounds him down. Grizzly crawls away and htis a flying chop, but Rave with Ghanaria for the quick and easy win. Rave puts on the heel hook after the bell, but Necro Butcher runs out with a chair to make the save.

-ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn defeated Chris Hero

Shane Hagadorn has a nice, new glittery jacket. Lynn and Hero trade wristlocks and headlocks to start, but Lynn with a schoolboy rollup for 2, then starts working over the arm. Hero goes for a slam, but Lynn slips out the back and hits a flying headscissors and goes back to the arm. Hero backs Lynn into the corner and goes for a forearm, but Lynn counters into a monkey flip, Hero cartwheels out, but Lynn with a Frankensteiner to send Hero to the floor. Hero gets back up on the apron, but Lynn with the springboard dropkick sends Hero back to the floor. Lynn rolls Hero back in for 2, but Hero counters a backdrop attempt by ramming Lynn's head into the mat. Hero works Lynn over in the corner and then distracts the referee, allowing Sara Del Rey to choke Lynn from the outside. Lynn blows his corner sunset flip, but Hero covers by hitting a big boot for 2. Hero goes for a cross corner whip, but Lynn reverses and sends Hero into the corner and gets an inverted sunset flip for 2. Hero quickly regains control and they hit the chinlock. Lynn counters a backdrop attempt and ducks a clothesline, then hits a flying clothesline. Hero gets the boot up on a corner charge and goes up top, but Lynn gets a top rope bulldog for 2. Lynn goes for the Cradle Piledriver, but Sara Del Rey gets on the apron to distract the ref, allowing Hagadorn to nail Lynn from the outside. Lynn quickly recovers and hits a somersault dive off the apron onto Hero, but Hero hits the springboard forearm off the guardrail then picks up the mats off the ringside floor, but misses a senton on the floor. Back in the ring, Hero escapes the Cradle Piledriver and TKO attempt and hits a rolling elbow to the back of Lynn's head for 2. Hero goes for another rolling elbow, but Lynn reverses to a windmill crossbody for two. Lynn off the second rope with a Tornado Flatliner for 2, but Hero catches him with an elbow in the corner and dumps Lynn to the floor. Lynn back in the ring and Hero tries for the Cradle Piledriver, but Lynn reverses out and goes for one of his own, but Hero reverses out of that and hits a pair of rolling elbows for 2. Hero with the loaded elbow pad, but Lynn catches him in a small package for the win. This was a great match.

After the match, Austin Aries runs out and nails Lynn with the belt as the crowd chants "Next World Champ".

Episode #14

-Claudio Castagnoli defeated Necro Butcher

Claudio takes Necro down with a waistlock to start and does the "HEY!" thing. Claudio with another waistlock takedown, but Necro sits out and turns in to befuddle Claudio. This fair wrestling match takes a turn for the worse when Claudio turns unsportsmanlike with a boot to the gut, but Necro nails him and hits a monkey flip to take control. Necro with a big backdrop and a clothesline over the top to send Claudio to the floor. Necro goes for the somersault off the apron but Claudio runs, so Necro just follows him and starts ramming him into the guardrail and the timekeeper's table before hitting a Beel Toss on the floor. Claudio runs back in the ring and tries to suplex Necro back in, Necro escapes, but Claudio gets a poke to the eye and a bicycle kick for 2. Big elbowdrop gets another 2 for Claudio. Claudio lays in some European uppercuts and plants Necro in the middle of the ring with a big slam followed by another elbowdrop for 2. Necro starts fighting back, but Claudio shuts him down with a knee to the midsection. Necro gets an inverted sunset flip for 2 and knocks Claudio silly with a punch to the jaw and a big boot to the face. Necro starts working him over in the corner and hits a bulldog for 2. Necro goes for the chokeslam but Claudio elbows out and tries to go up top, but Necro hits the Necrosteiner as Jimmy Rave runs to the ring and spits in Necro's face. Necro starts chasing Rave around ringside, but the distraction allows Claudio to get a low kick and small package Necro for the win. Brent Albright runs out to chase off the heels with a chair after the match.

-SHIMMER Champion MsChif defeated Neveah

Neveah with a side headlock takedown to start, MsChif tries to counter out with a hiptoss, but Neveah counters that back inthe toe headlock. Neveah with a flying mare and the Mr Perfect necksnap for two. MsChif ducks a clothesline and hits a backfist to take control. MsChif puts Neveah down in the corner and starts stomping on the back of her head. MsChif with a big clothesline, but Neveah badly blows a small package for 2. MsChif with a weird stretch into a gutbuster, and then she was supposed to miss a Lionsault, but Neveah didn't move in time and took the move anyway, but didn't sell it and started her comeback. Neveah with a badly botched neckbreaker for 2, and counters the Desecrator into a German Suplex for 2. Jimmy Jacobs tries to get in the ring and distracts the referee as MsChif gets the green mist and the Desecrator for the win. This was what JR would call bowling shoe ugly.

-Kenny Omega defeated Kenny King

King has Rhett Titus and a couple of local strippers in his corner. Omega with a hammerlock to start, but King reverses into a series of armdrags. Omega with a headscissors, King escapes, and they trade legscissors. Austin Aries comes out to take the girls to the back in a subtle spot I'm not sure everyone noticed. Omega sends King to the floor with a spinkick, but misses a baseball slide. Titus and King try to double team Omega on the floor, but King accidentally nails Titus and Omega hits a big dive from the ring to the floor. He needs to be careful with those dives, he sometimes gets a little too much air on them like in Montreal. Back in the ring, Omega hits a big running elbow in the corner and a dropkick to the back of the head for 2. King goes to the eyes and tries his somersault kick, but Omega blocks and hits a spinkick of his own. Titus distracts Omega from the floor and allows King to nail Omega to take control. Titus blatantly nailed Omega in front of the referee, who acted like he didn't see anything. This episode is going to need some editing. Omega gets backdropped onto the top rope and King nails a big spinkick to draw a big pop. Omega gets a great flying bodypress off the top rope, then ducks a clothesline and starts going to work on King. Omega with a dropkick to the knee and a nice bulldog for 2. These guys are amazing. Omega with a martial arts kick and a Rude Awakening for 2. Omega tries the STOP spot but King no sells it, hits the handstand kick, and runs over him with a big clothesline for 2. Omega goes up top, but Titus grabs his ankle and allows King to hit a big spinkick and an F5 for 2. The crowd is really hot for this match. King with a torture rack but Omega reverses to a sunset flip, and King reverses that to a sunset flip of his own with the tights for 2. Omega ducks another spinkick, does the STOP spot again, and this time it pays off with another spinkick for 2. Titus interference backfires and Omega gets an inverted Frankensteiner and an electric chair into a German Suplex for the win. Match of the night so far. Titus attacks Omega after the bell and Erick Stevens makes the save.

-KENTA defeated Roderick Strong

Each man avoids some stiff chops and kicks from each other to start, but that doesn't last long before they start tearing into each other. This is going to be fun. KENTA starts pounding away with forearms, Roderick goes for a sunset flip, but KENTA gets a stiff slap to Roderick's face and then one of the stiffest kicks I've ever seen to the chest before going to a chinlock. KENTA takes him to the corner and starts whaling away with kicks. This is turning into criminal assault before my eyes. Roderick counters a monkey flip by simply tossing KENTA across the ring and starts chopping awway like he's trying to chop someone behind KENTA. Roderick with a side backbreaker and a fallaway slam for 2. Roderick with a waistlock, KENTA elbows out, but Roderick with a picture perfect dropkick to the face for 2. Roderick with a mega stiff cross-corner whip and starts stomping away on KENTA in the corner. KENTA eats boot on a pair of corner charges, but gets a powerslam and both men are down as the referee starts counting. KENTA with a series of clotheslines off the ropes and a vertical suplex, followed up by a top rope clothesline for 2. KENTA with an STF, but Roderick makes the ropes. Roderick with a slingshot into a Falcon Arrow suplex for 2. Roderick with a pair of corner clotheslines and a cradle backbreaker for 2. KENTA comes back with more kicks and a springboard dropkick, followed up by a Yakuza Kick in the corner and then a leaping dropkick to Roderick, followed up by a sitout powerbomb, but all that only gets 2. KENTA with a series of strikes followed by the running knee kick for 2, and he pulls down the knee guard. KENTA goes for the Go To Sleep, Roderick escapes, KENTA goes for it again, Roderick escapes again and this time hits an enziguiri and puts KENTA up top, then hits a big superplex. These guys are not going to be able to walk tomorrow. Strong goes for the Stronghold, but KENTA makes the ropes. Out on the apron, Roderick goes for the backbreaker on the apron, but KENTA escapes and a pair of stiff kicks sends Strong to the floor. Strong with a really nasty backbreaker on the apron and the gutbuster followed by a running kick gets 2. Strong goes for the Tiger Driver, but KENTA reverses to Go To Sleep for the win. This was an amazing match and the new match of the night. Both men got a standing ovation after the match.

Episode #15

-Delirious defeated Jimmy Jacobs in a Fight Without Honor

Delirious came out in the red, which you longtime fans know means that Delirious means business. Delirious went right after Jacobs and hit a nasty dive to the floor. Jacobs comes back and rams Delirious into the guardrail a couple of times and tries to follow up with a charge, but Delirious hits a drop toehold into the guardrail and hits a panic attack, again, against the guardrail. Delirious pops the crowd by dragging a table out from under the ring and placing it against the guardrail in perfect position to not be used until someone gets tossed on it from the ring later in the match. Jacobs is bleeding and sure enough, they forgo the table spot when Jacobs rams Delirious into the ringpost. Jacobs tosses a couple of chairs in the ring and then hits a clothesline on Delirious on the floor before rolling him back in the ring. Jacobs rams Delirious face first into the chair, then picks the chair up and whacks Delirious across the back. Jacobs sets up the chair in the ring and gives Delirious a seat and hits a crossbody off the top rope onto the chair. Jacobs starts going to work with the non-destroyed chair and tosses Delirious to the floor where he again sits Delirious in the chair, but this time Delirious moves and Jacobs lands ribs-first on the chair. Delirious comes off the top rope to the floor with the chair in Jacobs and then tosses a random fan's hat across the building. Back in the ring, Delirious gouges away at Jacobs' forehead and then pitches the chair at Jimmy's face with an audible thwack, but Jimmy counters a Delirious charge with a spear and lock in the End Time, but Delirious manages to get to the ropes to break. Jacobs pulls out his old friend the steel spike and takes a run, but Delirious moves and they do the "burying the spike in the top turnbuckle" spot, and Delirious gets the Cobra Suplex for 2. Delirious goes for Shadows Over Hell, but Jacobs throws the chair at him and Delirious happens to fall onto the apron right in front of that table. Delirious tries for a suplex, but Jacobs goes to the eyes and goes for the spear off the apron, but Delirious moves and instead of breaking the table, Jacobs just bounces off it, so Delirious hits Shadows OVer Hell to the floor and puts Jacobs through the table, then rolls him back in the ring and gets the three count. Great brawl. Jacobs teases cutting his wrists with the spike after the match, but the referees come out and talk him out of it.

-The Young Bucks defeated Sal Rinauro and A Partner

The only guy I knew by name in this match was Sal Rinauro, but the Young Bucks go right after the heels and hit a double dive to the floor to start. Double team hiptoss on Rinauro followed by a double dropkick for two. Rinauro with a jawbreaker on Young Buck #1 and tags out to Evil Partner. Partner with a series of kicks and shoulderblock in the corner then tags back out to Rinauro who hits a corner clothesline for 2 and chokes Young Buck #1. Tag out to Evil Partner and the two of them completely miss a double clothesline, but Young Buck #1 sells it anyway. Young Buck ducks another double clothesline and makes the tag to Young Buck #2 who comes in and cleans house, hitting a springboard facebuster on Evil Partner before getting a nice superkick in the corner and the Bucks finish with a 450 splash/moonsault combo on Evil Partner for the win. Strangely, neither Young Buck looked anything like the current Buck Woodward.

-Brent Albright defeated "Dirty" Ernie Osiris

The crowd with an "Albright's gonna kill you" chant to start. Albright kills Osiris with a clothesline and a backdrop suplex before opening up with chops in the corner. Albright continues pounding away but Osiris goes to the eyes and does the Pit Stop. Osiris tries a neckbreaker, but Albright escapes and gets the Air Raid Crash, dropped Osiris headfirst on the top turnbuckle about five or six times, and hit the half nelson suplex for the win. Total squash. After the match, Kyle Durden gets in the ring and tells Albright that Claudio Castagnoli has challenged him to a Flag Match, and Albright accepts the challenge.

-Before the main event started, Nigel McGuinness came out in a suit and sporting a new shaved head to wish Tyler Black and Bryan Danielson good luck. He went on to say that you have to trust one another to be good tag team partners, and they don't trust each other so they'll need all the luck they can get.

-The American Wolves defeated Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black to retain the ROH World Tag Team Title

Black and Edwards start, they lock up and go to the corner and Edwards breaks clean. Edwards with a waistlock and Black reverses to a wristlock. Tag out to Danielson and Edwards backs off and tags out to Richards. Danielson with a wristlock but Richards does his bridging kick to escape. Richards goes to a wristlock of his own, but Danielson does his handspring dropkick to escape that and Richards bails to the floor in frustration. Hagadorn has another nice new jacket at ringside. I guess with Sweeney gone, somebody has to be a fashion plate at ringside. Black tags back in and Richards goes to a side headlock, then bowls over Black with a shoulderblock. Black comes back with a pair of hiptosses and a side headlock takeover, but Richards backs him into the Wolves corner and tags out to Edwards, who goes to work in the corner with stiff chops. Black with a backdrop and tags out to Danielson, who lays into Edwards with European Uppercuts. Danielson catches Edwards' boot and lands a kick to the inner thigh. Crowd is big time into Danielson. Edwards goes back to the headlock, Edwards escapes but Danielson with a pair of stiff kicks and a tag out to Black, who immediately gets caught in the Wolves' corner. Black with a pair of leapfrogs and a snapmare, a kick to the chest, and a stomp, and then it's back to the headlock. Whatever neck injury he had, it looks like he's over it. Danielson back in with a stiff kick to Richards for 2, and they hit the chinlock. Danielson tries to get Richards in the surfboard, but Richards makes the ropes. Black tags in and gets caught in the Wolves' corner again and starts exchanging chops with Edwards. Black manages to escape and tag Danielson in and this time Danielson gets the surfboard on Edwards. Edwards tags out to Richards, but Danielson with a big elbow puts Richards down and Danielson goes to a stepover toehold. Danielson converts that into an Indian Deathlock, but Edwards in to break it. Danielson dropkicks Richards to the floor, but Edwards stops him from making the dive. Black pulls Edwards out to the floor and holds both Wolves so Danielson can hit the dive. Danielson comes off the top, but Richards catches him with a dropkick and sends him to the floor to get worked over by Edwards. Richards goes to the chinlock and then tags in Edwards to stomp away at Danielson some more. The Wolves double team Danielson in the corner and follow up with a knee to the midsection and a stiff kick to the back. Wolves go for a double back suplex, but Danielson rolls through and hits both men with a double dropkick and makes the hot tag to Black. Black comes in and sends both Wolves to the floor and hits a somersault dive. Black and Richards back in the ring and Black hits the springboard clothesline for 2. Black with a standing shooting star press for 2 and goes for God's Last Gift, but Richards escapes. Edwards catches Black from behind with a nasty suplex and Richards gets a top rope dropkick for 2. Danielson comes in to even the odds and he and Black double team Richards, but Danielson ends up on the floor with Edwards and gets rammed into the guardrail. Black misses the Phoenix Splash and Richards gets a rollup for 2, but Edwards is back in and the two of them hit some nice double team moves for 2. Danielson goes after both men, Richards lays Danielson out with some stiff kicks and Black hits the Pelle kick on Richards and all four men are down. Now all four are back up and brawling in the ring. Danielson catches Edwards in a triangle choke as Black hits the corner powerbomb and superkick on Richards for 2. Danielson sends Black up top for the Phoenix Splash, but accidentally knocks Edwards into the ropes and causes Black to fall and get rolled up by Richards for the win. Danielson and Black got in each other's faces after the match and had a shoving match, but when Black went to calm things down and shake hands, Danielson took his hand and smacked him in the face, then walked out.

Tyler Black got on the mic and thanked the fans for coming, but told the fans to bring everyone they know tomorrow night to watch him beat Danielson.

good show. wasnt really hot to see Flair,kinda tough to understand all he was saying. why dont you just say WWE will pay you more now that youve sucked the indy scene dry? D-lo looked crappy as usual but not as bad as in NYC a couple months ago. Brown got more cheers when he came out but during the match the crowd was like 80% Jay. lots of dumb WWE comments for D-Lo. at least Jay didnt have to lose to him again.I dont think Fish got one offensive moved in but he took everything Steenerico had. i hope him and Young get a mach tonight.Steenerico looked good.good to see Rave in action but itd be nice to see him against someone good. since he's been back its been Colt or Redwood.ugh. Lynn/Hero was kinda like the Briscoe match. more cheers for Hero coming out but when the match is on Lynn gets many more cheers. Lynn looked good. Hero was Hero but the more restholds less shitty elbows makes his matches not as sucky. Claudio didnt get to do much against Necro. i dont mind the low blow but how about another wrestling move after that before the pin? Necro with more week punches. the Kennys put one a real good match,no surprise. two strippers from the cheerleaders nudie club accompanied them to the ring. they were passing out cards earlier and gave plenty of autographs to little boys and girs at intermission. MsChif with the Muta mist on Neveah. good ladies match. Roddy/Kenta was good,i was expecting a little more but it was still worth the trip. Delirious/Jimmy had a decent little hardcore match,not a fan of either but they earned their money and after seeing Hero,D-lo and Necro id watch these guys in an hour iron man match.Young Bucks looked smooth and athletic,hopefully tonights match will be a little more back and forth. I dont really talk about Brent any more since he hangs out with Cabana. he beat up Ernie,big whoop. tag title match was all youd expect. everyone looked good,Tylers whining ends up costing them.

Necro Butcher def Jimmy Rave with a rollup. Afterwards Jimmy locked the Heel Hook on Necro, but Cabana ran in to make the save.

Ric Flair cuts a promo putting ROH over huge.

Roderick Strong def Sonjay Dutt with a Gibson Driver.

Bret Hart announced for the next New York show, which will be at the Grand Ballroom instead of Hammerstein this time.

Jimmy Jacobs assaults Tyler Black before the bell and has him bleed before the match even begins, scoring an assumed victory. Tyler snaps and beats Jimmy into a pulp and announces that with Jacobs out of the way, he's cashing in his title shot tonight, making it a three way dance.

Colt Cabana def Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and D'Lo Brown by making D'Lo Brown submit to the Billy Goats Curse.

Submission Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship: American Wolves(c) def Kevin Steen and El Generico to retain the titles when Edwards made Generico submit to a single leg crap after hitting his knee with the bell.

Jay Briscoe def Little Guido Maritato with the Jay Driller. "Surprisingly a pretty good match."

Three Way Dance for the ROH World Championship: Austin Aries def Tyler Black and Jerry Lynn(c) to win the ROH World Championship. Nigel McGuinness is the ringside special enforcer. Tyler Black eliminates Jerry Lynn first with the Small Package Driver. Austin Aries eliminates Tyler Black with a Brainbuster to win the ROH World Championship. Austin Aries is the first ever two time ROH World Champion.

Credit to sources.

Looks as though both shows were pretty good, a few good things came from both of them. The Young Bucks seemed to have impressed, two good matches against the former tag champs as well as another young and exciting team in titus/king. There is already a thread but still, AUSTIN ARIES = NEW WORLD CHAMP! First ever man to win the ROH World title twice. Awesome.

Results look good and I'll make sure I see these one way or another! And also, SP, where are you? :(

Good to see Aries becoming a 2-time champ. Also, RIC FLAIR IS A PIECE OF SHIT!

Ric Flair appeared as part of a pre-show autograph session prior to the ROH show in NYC last night and then cut a promo midway through the show but did not work as the special ring enforcer for the ROH Title match as previously announced. Flair apparently packed his bags and left the show right after his promo, surprising ROH since Flair had not said anything about not wanting to perform his scheduled ring enforcer gig earlier in the afternoon. ROH officials tried to catch Flair before he left but were unable to.

Word from backstage is that Flair was given several spots to do during the main event bout within his role as special enforcer but started telling people that he would leave after his promo. He also apparently didn't want to be caught on HDNet cameras which were on hand to shoot footage of the show. With so many spots built around the Figure Four during the main event, that may have had something to do with Flair not wanting to be part of the match.

NYC thoughts:

disappointed no pre-show.I enjoyed the show immensely. the Dutt-Strong,Bucks-King/Titus, tag title match and world title matches were all really good.D-Lo looked better than usual. i just find that Colt sucks the enjoyableness out of any match he is in. bionic elbows and flying assholes dont do it for me. some guy was bringing the hate to Colt screaming that he hates him and that Colt ruined his life.I was hoping to see more from Claudio,he just seems to be spinning his wheels. Rave also.except for a match with Dragon all he's done is feud with necro and Colt since he has been back.Nigel got a nice ovation when he took over the outside ref duties. great move by Aries coming out to Flairs music.i dont know what Tyler was crying about in regards to Jacobs winning the first blood match. Jimmy used a screwdriver,big deal. you were the one using throwing him into chairs,tables and guardrails outside for the first five minutes of the match. still a decent segment of fans who arent buying Tyler. I know Tyler is going to win the belt eventually.i'd be happy if it was at FB just so it wasnt predictable. not a great show but a very good one. worth buying the dvd.

Ric Flair's lifestyle is catching up to him, and his money grubbing desperation is destroying the respect he once had.

I had hoped Silken had learned his lesson, but he's bringing in Hart now.

Stop paying autograph machines more than your own workers!

If you bring in people like that it should be to put YOUR guys over, not an insincere shill promo that no real fan buys.

For 15,000, Flair will cut a promo for a backyard wrestling fed.

His word is meaningless.

Meanwhile Danielson comes down to generic music instead of Europe, because you spend all your money on payday grubbers like Flair and Hart.

I know Silken makes short term money off it in merchandise sales, but he's doing it at the expense of production values and his own workers, and it's not helping the long term at all.

* Notes:
- Crowd is decent size, but defiantly smaller than previous taping. A lot of kids in the crowd, a lot. "the Philly crowd is sh!t tonight. Trash being thrown in the ring at random times.". And here's the kicker, no Bobby Cruise tonight. It's some bald guy with a tongue ring. No Guiseppi De Lorente either.

* PreShow:
- Bobby Dempsey beat Andy Ridge
- The Set beat John Moxley
- John Kermon beat Maverick

* First Show:
-Kenny King and Rhett Titus v Kenny Omega and Erick Stevens: King and Titus win after Omega goes for a German Suplex and King falls on top of him, Titus held Omegas legs down from the outside a la Bobby Heenan from WM5.

-Jay Briscoe v Roderick Strong v Dlo Brown: Strong wins with a Bridging Sunset Flip on Dlo. "Match was awesome"

* Second Show:
- Colt Cabana and Brent Albright v Claudio Castagnoli and Jimmy Rave

- Nana interferes, distracting Albright long enough for CC to hit the Ricola Bomb for the win. Post match, Embassy beat down both Albright and Cabana until Necro and Grizzly make the save. "boring"

- Silas Young v Delirious w/ Daizee Haze: Delirious wins with a Panic Attack/Shadows Over Hell combo. Post match, Durden comes out for an interview, Deli speaks his jibberish. "Match was exactly what you would expect from these two. If you think that's awesome, your wrong"

- Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne v Mark Briscoe: Huge pop for Mark. Extended Squash. Mark wins with Powerbomb. Sugarfoot attempted to attack the knee during the match, that was his only offense.

- Davey Richards v El Generico: Ends in a Double DQ after Steen and Edwards come to the ring and all four brawl through the crowd. During the brawl, Sara Del Ray Irish Whip Paul Tuner into the guardrail. An "ECW" chant broke out during the brawl.

* Third Show:
- Austin Aries comes out announced as a multi time world champ to Flairs music. The promo is "f*cking amazing". He talked about how awesome he is and ripped The Phillies for getting swept by Toronto this week. He started ripping on a kid in the crowd and tore him apart. He went around the arena an picked out people and started ripping on them one by one. "it's amazing"

- Eddie Edwards v Kevin Steen: Steen nails Edwards with a chair while Turner isn't looking. He hits the Swanton for the pin.

- Cheech and Cloudy v Sal Rinaro and Tony Kozina: after a couple of mins, the Dark City Fight Club comes out and destroyed everybody. No contest

- Sami Calahan v The Necro Butcher: Necro wins after a Tiger Driver. "Total Snoozefest". Post match, Cabana, Albright, and Grizzly come to the ring.

- Nigel McGuinness v Tyler Black: Black wins with Gods Last Gift. Nigel looked rusty. Match started very slow paced but picked up by the end. The crowd was awful.

These results look like some of the worst I have seen yet there are still a few things that look good. The crowd sounds as though it was terrible. All I really wanna see is that Austin Aries promo, the 3-Way from the first show and Davey Vs Generico even though it sounds as though the ending sucked since it was double DQ.

* Notes:
- Danielson is out due to a Staph Infection. It's being said he won't be at the shows next week either.

* PreShow:
- Orange Cassidy v Eddie Kingston: Squash. Kingston with a spinning backfist. Post match interview where King says he won't stop until Hero is out of wrestling.

- The Set v Bobby Dempsey and Sawada: Dempsey wins with a DVD

* First Show:
- Roderick Strong v Austin Aries: Aries wins with a roll up with his feet on the ropes. "f*cking awesome, 10x better than their last HD match. Crowd was going nuts".

-Jerry Lynn promo: talks about Dlo and how he wrestles at his peak at age 46. "boring"

- Dlo Brown v John Kermin: Dlo wins with a Spinebuster from the second rope

- Kevin Steen and El Generico v Tony Kozina and Sami Callihan: Steenerico wins with a Package Piledriver/Brainbuster Combo. Solid, extended squash

- Tyler Black comes out for an interview. Aries hits the ring asking why he doesn't get interview time. Nigel comes out and they all argue about who should have the belt. Nigel leaves and Aries hits Black with the belt.

* Second Show:
- Colt Cabana, Brent Albright, Grizzly Redwood, and Necro Butcher v The Embassy(Jimmy Rave, Claudio Castagnoli, Ernie Osiris, and Prince Nana) Elimination Rules: Osiris beats Grizzly, Albright and CC are both counted out, Rave makes Necro tap, Osiris gone after a Colt 45, Rave gets rolled up, Cabana makes Nana tap to the Billy Goats Curse for the win. Ernie did a flip off the apron on to Necro's foot in a chair in a cool spot. "not the best wrestling, but a really fun match"

- Even Scott v Nigel McGuinness: Nigel wins with a DDT. "Nigel looked bad again, it was a boring as sh!t squash"

- The American Wolves v Up In Smoke: Wolves win with a Single Leg Crab. Good squash. "up in smoke looked good in their 10 seconds of offense". Post match, Dark City Fight Club comes down and destroys Cheech and Cloudy. Then they stare down the Wolves.

- Sonjay Dutt v Delirious: Deli wins with a roll up. "good match, just went to long"

* Third Show:
- Jerry Lynn v Tyler Black: Nigel comes down during the match. Black has the match won with a Powerbomb/Superkick Combo, but Nigel puts Lynn foot on the ropes at 2. Lynn wins with a Cradle Piledriver. "match was boring, but better than Black/Lynn from last night. Crowd was dead"

- Silas Young v Erick Stevens: Stevens win with a Dr Bomb.

- Eddie Kingston comes out and wants Hero. Hero's music hits and Hagendorn comes out and says King isn't worthy. He sends out Sal Rinaro. The match is on, and Kingston squashes him. Ends it with a Spinning Backfist.

- Kenny King and Rhett Titus v The Briscoe Bros: Briscoes win with Springboard Doomsday Device. "good match, but people were distracted by some douche in the crowd". Post match, Wolves come out and talk sh!t, Steenerico comes out and everyone brawls.

- Aries comes out and cuts a promo on par with last night.

ROH Results 6/26/09 from Detroit, Michigan

Credit: Aaron McMann and Pwinsider.com

* The show opened with a 10 bell salute to Mitsuharu Misawa.

* Grizzly Redwood defeated Silas Young with a rollup.

* Rhett Titus & Kenny King defeated Brent Albright & Erick Stevens when King rolled up Albright. Albright was busted open in the back of the head hardway early on.

* Ric Flair
came out and cut a short promo putting over ROH, Cary Silkin and Detroit.

* Nigel McGuiness fought Claudio Castagnoli to a double countout.

* Kevin Steen & El Generico defeated The House of Truth, Christian Able & Josh Raymond with Truth Martini. So far, the best match of the night.

* ROH champion Austin Aries won a non-title Six Man Mayhem bout, pinning Joey Ryan. Also competing were Delirious, Petey Williams, Sami Callihan and Rasche Brown.

* Colt Cabana defeated D'Lo Brown after using the ring bell. A lot of comedy.

* ROH Tag Team champions The American Wolves defeated KENTA & Roderick Strong.

* Tyler Black defeated Jimmy Jacobs in a Steel Cage Match. After the match, a collection of masked men hit the ring and destroyed Black as screaming played over the sound system.

ROH Results from 6/27/09 in Chicago Ridge, Illinois

Ring of Honor – Frontier Fieldhouse - Chicago Ridge, Illinois

Attendance was around 900. Prior to the show, there was a meet and greet with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

Pre-show:

(A) Tony Kozina and Dirty Ernie Osiris (with Prince Nana) defeated Aaron Scott and Grizzly Redwood.

It might have been 90 degrees outside today, but the jacked-up crowd, right of the bat, made it feel like about 150 in the building. As soon as the bell rang ring announcer Joey Eastman alerted us five minutes have elapsed in the match. For a homeless man, Ernie has some nice shoes (as well as plaid Abercrombie pants and a homemade t-shirt) compared to the non-homeless, barefoot’d man – who’s beard is that of a mighty Redwood. Some nice back and forth with Scott and Kozina (with his barrel chest, he’d make a great roaring 20’s strongman gimmick). Aaron Scott went for a slam on the bald Kozina, which caused Osiris to note “he's pulling his hair.” Advantage went to Team Nana after he pulled the top rope down so Scott would fall out of the ring. Finally, a hot tag was made to the Griz – who hit some axe-handles on Kozina, and followed with a flapjack on Scott. A short time later, while Scott was arguing with the ref (who had taped fists), Ernie drilled Redwood with his shoe, allowing Kozina to roll him up for the win.

(B) “Big, Bad” Bobby Dempsey and Sawada defeated Andy “Right Leg” Ridge and Sampson.

Ridge is a heel now, as he looked surly, and kicked the guard rail twice on the way to the ring, just to let everyone know hoe surly he was. Sawada was wearing a gi. Sampson, a large, muscular, African-American fella was worried about the non-Milton Bradley Karate Fighter and a chop battle ensued, until Sampson used a poke to the eyes. Heat on Sawada, as Dempsey tried to get the crowd into the match. Sampson choked him on the ground, and then squatted in an attempt to blow gas, which allowed Dempsey to get the hot tag. The match would end with Dempsey using a Death Valley Driver on Ridge, as Sawada used a judo throw, and a keylock on Sampson for the victory.

(C) Josh Raymond defeated Mickey Nichols.

The pre-show main event, with the pre-show time remaining, saw a good paced wrestling match with plenty of Raymond (who's improved over the last two years since toning down the sleaze – and the mustache) and Mikey trading arm-bars and wrestling holds. Josh was over with his “Yeah!!!” catchphrase. Nichols attempted a rollup, but only got a two. Nichols hit a neck-breaker for two, and a second rope dropkick for another near fall. After a high cross-body by the Aussie for another near fall, Raymond came back with a super kick followed by a 360 corkscrew head kick off the ropes for the win.

There was a ten-bell salute with all the wrestlers around the ring. KENTA stood inside the ring and held a picture of Mitsuharu Misawa along with Cary Silkin wearing a NOAH Hawaiian shirt. It was a very classy thing to do, as they played his theme, and Misawa chants rung out over the building. The main card started at approximately 7:45pm.

1. Six-Man Mayhem: Delirious defeated Silas Young with Shadows over Hell, in a match that also included “Sugarfoot” Alex Payne, Sami Callahan, Egotistical Fantastico, and “Addicted to Love” Rhett Titus.

To begin, Payne went straight for Silas, which was good continuity after Silas turned on him the last time ROH was here. Rhett went for a kiss from a girl in the front row, but a dude kissed him instead which got a great pop and lots of chants from the crowd. The foam Sugar-foot held by some dudes in the front row was taken by Rhett, violated by Silas, and actually put on Callahan’s foot. Payne and Delirious started, with Delirious talking gibberish and, at one point, saying “white meat babyface.” Good comedy with Rhett giving Delirious a show, Deli running after him, both going under the ring, and Titus coming out with his pants semi-down and his thong exposed. Then Rhett came from behind ref Todd Sinclair, who thought Titus was feeling him up and shoved him down. Great moves all over the place during the match, including a Tower of Doom spot with Ego getting double super-plexed by Sami and Silas, as Deli and Payne hit power-bombs on both guys. As five men were down, Rhett made pinfall attempts on all of them one at a time. Titus hit a second rope face-buster on Sugarfoot. As Delirious (who seems to be mentoring Payne) tried a Panic Attack on Sami, he instead ate a five-star lariat. Ego hit the Taco Pizza for a near-fall on Sami. Payne then hit the diamond dust on Silas, was hit by Callahan, which allowed Delirious to hit the Shadows over Hell to steal the win. Just a fucking fantastic opener, that was reminiscent of ROH openers of lore. Everyone – even Silas – looked great here.

2. Erick Stevens defeated “HD Ready” Skullkrusher Rasche Brown after a Doctor Bomb.

HD is looking leaner, not so bulky, and continued to capitalize on the great charisma he showed the last time he was in Chicago (against Ego). They wrestled back and forth early, including using the Flair-Steamboat bridge-to-a-backslide pin attempt. Erick then ran the ropes to bring the big man down. No luck. HD hit a shoulder-tackle and then an awesome football clothesline, followed by a palm chop. Erick rallied with a flying shoulder-tackle to the outside, but Brown came back with a slam and a chop which caused Stevens to say “Ouch!” HD hit a vertical spinning suplex. Stevens attempted a side slam but just fell over. Brown used a camel clutch, and then a Rick Rude-like pelvic thrust swivel (which was the sixth pelvic thrust of the night – Razor Ramon HG would be proud). Stevens tried a Samoan drop, but struggled to lift him up. Stevens then used a shoulder tackle off the second rope, but HD came back spear for a two. Elbow war. Stevens hit a cho-cho (running elbow into the corner), and went for a lariat, but Brown used a choke-slam for a near fall. HD went for his own cho-cho, but ate a lariat and a doctor bomb for the win. Decent big man war and better than expected. Stevens could make a great heel in ROH if given a good storyline. Rasche got a huge chant leaving the ring.

Ric Flair promo telling the crowd that Chicago was THE GREATEST sports town in the world, the greatest town to wrestle in, and put over the (U.I.C.) Pavilion. He said that “I respect these guys,” and then said the word “workrate” which was surprising, saying the guys in ROH “bust their ass.” He put over Rush Street, and Gibson’s steakhouse – where he says he’s spent over $500,000. That’s only half of the money he claims he’s spent on Rush Street, and that there’s a 22-year old girl that he’d like to “kiss on the mouth” later tonight. Great promo.

3. Kenny King defeated “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams with a torture rack DDT.

To start, some fans chanted “Tough Enough” to Kenny, who responded by saying “come on that was eight years ago.” King looked good as he went toe-to-toe with the former X-Division champion. As they exchanged holds, I noticed Petey’s tights said “wwad.” (Semp’s note: I hope it stands for What Would Al Davis do, because the answer would be make some poor personnel decisions, and follow it up by pooping in your Depends, and settling in for a nap.) Kenny did a Michael Jackson impression, but as he was doing the splits, Petey hit him with a dropkick, and a Jackson-esqe “Heee-heee.” A top rope headscissors over the top put King on the outside, which was followed by Williams jumping over the top and hitting a beautiful rana. King came back with a beautiful Hot Shot and lariat for a two count. King said “make believe mustard, my ass” which may make a great catchphrase and look snazzy on a shirt. He then hit a spinebuster for a two. Petey attempted the Canadian Destroyer, which got a huge pop, only to have King throw him into the corner. King tried a springboard clothesline but got hit with a dropkick. Petey hit a backbreaker and a dropkick to the back of King’s head. Russian leg-sweep by Williams, and he called for the Destroyer but King evaded. Spinning backbreaker for two on Williams, and then King hit a DVD into a side-slam for two. Lots of great nearfalls in this match. King was tapping in the sharpshooter as the ref was being distracted by King’s partner Rhett Titus. After many Canadian Destroyer attempts, King hit a torture rack DDT for the win. Afterwards, Titus and King beat on Williams – who fought back and hit the destroyer for a HYOOOGE pop. Lots of “please come back” chants. Petey, with a bloody mouth, cut a promo and called the guys in ROH “bad ass mofos.” He talked about ROH being where stars are born, and reborn, which caused a “fuck TNA” and “fire Russo” chant. Petey showed more charisma here than he did in however many years he was in TNA, and called himself “the wizard of the washboard” abdominals. Very good match.

4. NOAH World Junior Heavyweight champion KENTA defeated Tyler Black after the Go to Sleep.

With the fans using dueling chants to get behind both guys, KENTA killed Black early. 2009 has been a tremendous year so far for the NOAH junior heavyweight champion. (Semp’s note: Literally, he kicked the shit out of Tyler after they exchanged some harsh chops. Some slaps exchanged and KENTA hit a Euro uppercut. Tyler came back with a suplex for two. KENTA responded by putting Tyler on the top rope and hit Black’s back with his knees. He continued with knee splashes, and the backwards kick to the head after jumping over the top rope, which got a small Misawa chant. KENTA then put Tyler’s head between his legs and squeezed it like a sleeperhold. After eating some kicks to the chest, Tyler came back with a running clothesline, an enziguri, and a springboard clothesline. A nice Lionsault attempt got a two count. More KENTA kicks soon followed. They are so incredibly painful, yet beautiful, to watch. STF by KENTA. WTF~? Tyler got to the ropes. An attempted a fisherman buster was turned into a neck-breaker by Black. Black went up top, but received a boot and a superkick for his efforts. The dueling chants from the crowd continued.

A springboard drop kick, followed by two huge boots into the corner, and a dropkick were used by KENTA (who was super-over, as usual). An awesome double-foot stomp spot. KENTA then hits a kick, runs off the ropes, and gets caught with a Tyler superkick. Uh-oh, a FIGHTING SPIRIT POSE. Another Black superkick is followed by a huge KENTA boot. Another STF attempt. Tiger suplex attempt by KENTA was blocked, but he hit an awesome Ace Crusher for a two. He went up top, but Tyler caught him and hit a rana. He then tossed KENTA out of the ring, and hit a corkscrew dive to the outside. Black then, well, TYLER’D UP and hit two elbows into the corner, and a DDT from a DVD position for a near fall. Crowd was not happy, as they began to gravitate more towards the Japanese star. Black tried the Phoenix splash, but landed on his feet. He used his Execution kick to the head, and a Slop Drop. He then went for a powerbomb into the corner, but he ate a hurancanrana, instead.

A KENTA Tiger suplex got a 2.5 count. A Go To Sleep attempt was blocked, Black tried a God’s Last Gift, but took a GTS for 2.9999999 (I could keep going). Tyler recovered and hit a powerbomb into the corner, and went for another Execution kick. KENTA caught his leg, and hit another GTS to take the win at 18:13, in what was an outstanding match. Fans chanted “That was awesome,” and there were hearty handshakes, and an exchange of pro wres love.

Age of the Fall then came down to the ring, all 13 or so of them, in masks and bandanas. Zach Gowen was one of them, turning down a lucrative apartment wrestling gig tonight to be at the show. Misty Blue Simms would be very unhappy. Jimmy Jacobs had his white, blood stained jacket from the group’s beginning, and a chain came down on the hook they use to hold up the title belts during ladder matches. They attempted to hang former member Black upside down, Jay Briscoe-style, but El Generico and Kevin Steen came down to help wreck shop. Black got back up and hit the GLG on Jacobs, and hung him upside down by the hook. Delirious was working the controls and raised Jacobs up. Black got on the mic and said “The Age of the Fall is dead.” The faces left, and Jacobs was lowered down. He began to berate his members, who all walked out on him. He then exited through the crowd, quite dejected, and left out the front door, throwing down garbage cans in the process.

Intermission: September 19 will be the next Chicago show, with Bret Hart coming in – which, not surprisingly, got a super huge pop. I went outside as Jimmy Jacobs was on his knees crying in the rain. Outstanding. Crowd has been good, and very mixed as Flair brought in the casual/mainstream crowd (which might have been the reason Petey Williams was so over), as well as more kids attending. Joey Eastman announced the after-party, and how people can buy Adam Pearce beer, because Pearce loves beer. Larry Sweeney was in the house, backstage at the show.

By the way, all Michael Jackson music during intermission causing Dr. Keith to reflect back to his own past experiences with a “Dirty Diana.”

5. Chicago Street Fight: “Classic” Colt Cabana and Brent Albright defeated Joey Ryan and the “Very European” Claudio Castagnoli, when Cabana put Ryan through a table.

Sadly, Claudio and Ryan were not in their street gear. Dueling boom-elbows from the babyfaces. Albright shaved, and as a result looks much younger. Cabana and Albright brought a table into the ring and sandwiched it on top of Ryan and Claudio. The fight went to the outside with Albright and Ryan tangled on one end, as Cabana and Claudio were on the other. For the third straight show, whenever Claudio did anything people said “Heeeeeeeey!” which is always entertaining. Cabana got on the guardrail and did a back dive onto the heels. Somewhere during the melee, an old man got accidentally hit but ROH was quick to aid him (and his tucked in Colt 45 shirt) with some ice. Both babyfaces did their submissions (Albright’s Crowbar on Claudio, and the Billy Goat’s Curse on Ryan). Prince Nana and Dirty Ernie came in, as Cabana and Albright gave chase. Back in the ring, Ryan hit his Super 70’s superkick on Colt, and Claudio used a bicycle kick on Albright. Later, Cabana hit a big backdrop on Ryan to the outside and Albright hit a dive on Claudio.

Albright and Cabana then did the old Dudley’s “Get the tables” line. They laid Ryan on the table, Ernie made the save. Albright was going to hit a suplex on Ryan through the table, but Claudio flipped the table over. Claudio set up a table into the corner and attempted to Ricola bomb Cabana into it, but Albright made the save. Chairs then entered the equation. Ryan used the Mustache Ride on Cabana. A good-guy’s double pin attempt was broken up by Nana. Bicycle kick by Claudio, as Albright had the chair up. Claudio accidentally hit Ryan with the bicycle kick and slipped on a chair. Albright then did a dive to the outside onto Claudio, who was in the third row. Nana came into the ring, busting up a Colt 45 on Ryan. Cabana then used the Flying Asshole on Nana, followed by one on Ryan who went through a table for the win. A really good brawl.

6. D’Lo Brown defeated Roderick Strong with a roll-up.

Brown, who was looking huge (NOD days, but with more muscle), got huge “Welcome home” chants. Strong went to work with trademark chops, with D’Lo rallying with chops of his own. Brown missed on one, looked at his hand and said, “I fucked up.” Brown ended up chopping Strong’s chest open. Strong went to pick D’Lo up, as he yelled “are you kidding me?” Totally great old school heel. He used the Sliding D for a near fall, and a vertical suplex for another. Strong kicked him in the gut, and D’Lo spit into the third row, possibly near his family. Brown hit a powerful clothesline, and a side slam attempt, but Roddy blocked it with a crucifix for a near fall. Strong went to work with some vicious chops. D’Lo went up top, and some fan yelled “Come on Roddy, win it for Droz.” Ugh. Brown shot him a look, and then was met up top by Strong who superplexed him down to the mat. Gibson driver, but Brown held on for another near fall. Story of the match was D’Lo being too big, but Strong hit a backbreaker and a yakuza kick for a two count, but Brown got his foot to the ropes. D’Lo then tied up Strong, and with his hand on the bottom rope, pinned him for the victory. Very good performance by Brown playing the old-time, cheat to win, better than you, heel.

7. Kevin Steen and El Generico defeated the ROH World tag team champions, the American Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) in a non-title match.

The stipulation here is that if the Wolves win, Steenerico doesn’t get anymore title matches. If the good guys prevail, they get to pick what the stipulations for the next match between the teams will be. Shane Haggadorn, wearing a sparkling jacket and an arm sling, was announced as the Wolves “manager.”

Great back and forth match, with the heat being put on Steen, who ended up getting a hot tag to Generico, with the knee brace. Edwards hit a jumping codebreaker on Generico for a two count, as Davey used a Texas cloverleaf on Generico’s injured knee. Eddie whipped Generico’s knee into the guardrail. Davey then hit two or three vicious kicks on the masked generic man. Quick, frequent, Wolves tags. Generico finally was able to get a tag to Steen, who dive off the top to the floor on both Wolves, and hit a powerbomb on Edwards to the apron. He threw Davey into the ring and hit the senton for two. In a nice spot, Steen powerbombed Davey onto Eddie, who was on the ground. Tag to Generico who hit a high cross body on Eddie for two. 8. Austin Aries defeated Nigel McGuinness to retain the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight championship.

“Welcome back” chants for the shaved head, and streamlined, Nigel. Aries’ tights have musical notes on them, for some reason. Aries got on the mic and called Chicago the home of the loveable losers, and talked about they used to despise Nigel. He said that Chicago Ridge “identifies” with losers. Nigel said it “takes one to know one,” and called A-Double a “prick.” Aries mocked back with “It takes one to know one,” and “I know you are, but what am I?” Aries then talked about leaving. Nigel cracked “Just because you have hair around your mouth doesn't mean you’re a vagina.” Aries countered with “I am what I eat.” To which Nigel said, “Then you are an ass****.” Having watched Frost/Nixon last week, I was familiar to such a debate. The bell rang, and Austin called for the bell again. He got back on the mic, and said Nigel was broken down and couldn’t do his McLariats. Nigel went for some, but Aries poked fun at him for being unable to.

Nigel took off after Aries, who hit a baseball slide, and did a plancha over the top rope that missed. Nigel whipped him into the guardrails, and went to work on Aries’ shoulder. McGuinness used his headstand kick, and a nice arm submission on, to further inflict damage. Nigel hit a double thrust like Haku. When Nigel was coming back into the ring, Aries hit him with a beautiful running dropkick to McGuinness’ bad arm. From there, Aries went to work and used a Macho Man-like axe-handle to the outside, and threw Nigel into the guardrail. Aries signaled for his power-elbows, but just did an eye rake. What a heel! More work on Nigel’s arm. They exchanged elbows and Aries got caught into the corner. Nigel kicked the back, and hit a small clothesline out of the corner. Aries dangled out of the ring, and Nigel attempted a Tower of London. Aries blocked, and got a high back bodydrop for his troubles. Back in the ring, Nigel tried the Tower of London again, but there was a sunset flip by Aries, followed by an arm submission by Nigel.

Nigel put Aries on top rope, but his lariat attempt was ducked. Aries responded with a lariat of his own, and a neck-breaker for a two count. Nigel used some high-knees for a near fall. Nigel lifted up Aries up for another Tower of London, resulting in a two. Aries rolled through an arm submission, and they teased a jawbreaker, but Aries hit a suplex for a two. Last Chancery submission by Aries was thwarted when Nigel got to the ropes. Aries put Nigel on top rope, and mocked Nigel by looking like he was going to hit the lariat, but hit an axe-handle on the ropes. Aries did his heat -seeking missile tope, but McGuinness used an elbow, and hit the T.O.L. on the outside for another near fall. Crowd was quiet but began getting into it. Nigel raked Aries all over the top rope, and hit a lariat for a two. Aries foot on the ropes. Nigel was selling his lariat arm. He attempted a jawbreaker. Aries ducked a lariat, and got a backslide attempt. Aries hit a kick of death and brainbuster for the win at 21:08. Decent match. Nigel is banged up, but this was fine. The crowd eventually cheered Nigel, but it took a while.
