ROH Blocks Several Wrestlers From Taking WWE Deals

I heard about the Briscoes possibly getting picked up by WWE early last year, then I suddenly stopped hearing about it. Had no idea what ever happened with that until now.

WWE really isn't the place for a prominent tag team career right now, though that could always change. I'm sure they would go by different names in WWE if they ever did jump ship, so as not to be confused with the WWE legends Jack and Gerald Brisco, so there's no telling what kind of silly moniker WWE would slap on them.

ROH needs to be on a national tv channel. Maybe Versus channel if ROH doesn't want their guys moving out. Everybody wants to be on tv.

Oh, and money. That's usually a pretty big deal too.

Meh, the Briscoes aren't cosmetically pleasing enough for WWE anyway...

On a serious note, though, I don't think they'd work out in WWE. Tag team wrestling is dead in WWE. If the Briscoes signed, WWE would do exactly the same thing as they're gonna do with the Kings. They'll bring them in, they'll be a team for 6 months, they'll win the belts probably, and when they lose the belts, or if they don't win the belts, lose a big match of some kind, one of them'll turn on the other, they'll have a mini feud and they'll be singles guys. At least the Kings could concievably make it as singles guys, but I doubt the Briscoes would have the same luck. They're best served in a tag team role. On top of that, they'd have to clean up their act, and their gimmick is all about the way they act. You can't have PG rednecks, that's a terrible idea. Case in point, every return Austin does. He's the best ever but it's not the same.

Not to mention, WWE would change their name to something stupid, even if they didn't have the same name as WWE's Brisco's, because every guy gets that now. Knowing WWE, they'd probably make them the Godwins sons.
