Yeah not one to speculate here, but I think it's possible that:

Gene passed away first and suddenly, and Betsy was so distraught she took her own life. This is considering that the police already stated no foul play was suspected and the fire department already denied any carbon monoxide presence.

My exact thoughts and the dog probably ate some of the pills that were spilled

Yeah it just sort of tracks, but I really hope it isn't true and there's a more reasonable explanation.

RIP.

I haven’t seen a lot of his big films but I like him a lot in what I have seen him in like The Royal Tenenbaums, The Quick and the Dead, Get Shorty, Scarecrow, Hoosiers, and Postcards from the Edge

Quick and the Dead is a vastly underrated flick

Man hearing the details of Gene's passing hurts me to the Core. I watched the first two French Connection films last Year and I say please watch them he's was freaking great. I think many will say the first is better but the 2nd one is crazy as hell. Jimmy's Character is going after the people from the first film and he gets super close to them but he's in a different Country and the Police force there don't like his style of doing things. He gets caught by the bad guys and they get him hooked on Heroin and it's a gripping thing to watch. The French Police finally find Jimmy and they help him get back to normal but it's a long journey to the point it had me thinking if he was using Heroin the way he was acting.

she was my crush when i was a kid
RIP.

I’m definitely shocked by this. Tough to believe i won't be seeing her in nothing else. Even watched things I didn't particularly care for cause my crush was insane.

This is sad but 100% plausible, it’s the only thing I’ve read that makes any sense. The only confusion I have is why there was a dog in a crate near her.

Roy Ayers, the legendary vibraphonist and musician behind 1976’s album “Everybody Loves the Sunshine,” has died.

He was 84.

His family members shared the news on Ayers’ Facebook on March 5, expressing their “great sadness.”

“It is with great sadness that the family of legendary vibraphonist, composer and producer Roy Ayers announce his passing which occurred on March 4th, 2025 in New York City after a long illness,” the statement reads. “He lived a beautiful 84 years and will be sorely missed.”

Ricardo Scofidio, who with his wife, Elizabeth Diller, brought a conceptual art sensibility to architecture in designing some of the world’s most innovative concert halls, museums, academic buildings and parks, including, with partners, the High Line in Manhattan, died on Thursday in Manhattan. He was 89.

His sons Gino and Ian Scofidio confirmed his death, in a hospital. They did not cite a specific cause.

Mr. Scofidio and Ms. Diller founded the firm now called Diller Scofidio + Renfro in New York in 1979. Operating out of a gritty East Village studio, they became known for their inventive ideas about how architecture could alternately challenge and enhance perceptions, and in 1999 they became the first architects to be awarded MacArthur Foundation “genius” grants.

Guys wtf at this Hackman update….

View attachment 89006

Wow….he was a legend, very sad.

So sad to hear what both passed away from with the updates. So she passed away before he did and with all he was going through himself he didn't most likely know she was gone and he passed away after.

Man I felt so sad hearing that Gene Hackman's wife died a week before he did and he didn't know what to do as he had Alzheimer's. Such a tragic way to die. RIP Legend.
