I have to mention how good that photo is, great timing by the photographer to capture the dropkick at that moment and Del Rio made good contact.

Now onto the thread, on RAW tonight Del Rio went ballistic after Ricardo cost him a non title match against RVD. After the match he gave Ricardo a beat down and made it pretty clear that he was no longer his personal ring announcer. It should also be noted that tonight was Ricardo's first show after he had served his 30 day Wellness Policy suspension. Ricardo had become a fan favourite for his style and antics as Del Rio's ring annoncer and became so popular that WWE even turned Del Rio face for a time to play off that. It worked for a time but Del Rio works better as a heel so splitting with Ricardo does make a lot of sense.

Where does Ricardo go from here?

It is tough because he has been used for the last few years as purely an announcer that has little to no skills in the ring. It would be tough for them to change him into a wrestler unless they use him under his El Local gimmick. He could always be used as an announcer for another wrestler but no-one on the roster really stands out as needed someone like him. WWE already have plenty of authority figures so there is no opening there. There is also a chance that WWE could release him, he was only used as an announcer for one guy and was recently suspended for violating the Wellness Policy so could be expendable.

Will WWE release him, will he become an announcer for someone else, will he start wrestling as Ricardo (or even El Local)? What do you want to see happen with Ricardo going forward?

I see Christian using him for Summerslam just to sort of mess with Del Rio, but after that he disappears for a while.

They'll send him to NXT for a while so he can get in shape and hone his skills and I'm sure have him feud with Del Rio at some point within the next few months, probably around Rumble time

I can see this going a couple of ways

1. This beating means nothing and Ricardo is gonna be like that girlfriend that Del Rio keeps beating him up he comes back for more and doesn't leave his side

2. Ricardo cost Del Rio the title at SSlam CHRISTIAN~! WINNING then Del Rio beats on him for 2 months leading to Ricardo either getting a new rich Mexican or different wrestler.

3. IT WAS ALL A SWERVE! To get Christian off his game and Ricardo helps Del Rio at SSlam.

4. Ricardo joins commentary as he did it for like 3 weeks on Main Event, or he gets fired.

Think this is going to lead to him being used as a wrestler at some point and feud with Del Rio assuming this wasn't one of those bring him back just to make an ass of him then fire him things.

This is exactly what was being discussed on the new WO radio yesterday, what's next for Ricardo. I don't see him being paired up with anyone else, so that's out of the question. I don't see him being a ring announcer either. He can't wrestle either. So really, they can either put him back with Del Rio at Summerslam. Have him help Del Rio retain against Christian and prove to Del Rio he is not useless, and is valuable for him. Or they'll just end up releasing him.

Either way, the 30 day suspension at the end of June didn't help him either.

I think it'll be fabs third idea. Honestly don't see WWE letting him wrestle full time. Though he'd be the babyface mexican they've always wanted.

Hell, if they really wanted to get the project back on track then they could quite easily fob him off to Sin Cara.

I honestly don't think Ricardo should wrestle, it's nice having a manager around who can take bumps. Granted I'd have no clue what to do with Ricardo since this came out of nowhere and I reckon he'll be off TV for another week or two. But still, putting Ricardo in the ring just wouldn't go anywhere imo. Yes even jobbers can be necessary but I don't think it's the role Ricardo would be most useful in.

Bring in this sick looking mofo to take out Del Rio at random times. Then you can just keep him under this gimmick. Looks a lot better then Ricardo, and he could fill the Mysterio hole that Sin Cara failed at.

Ricardo being in a mask would work great until some smarks in the crowd start chanting "Ricardo" and ruin whatever mystery/mystique or general cool factor that would happen for any new gimmick for Ricardo.

Kind of hard to take a guy serious, when he was getting stripped out of a suit, wearing Bieber shorts or tight t-shirts, let alone think he could feud with anyone let alone beat anyone.
