So one poorly conceived action renders all of his opinions irrelevant?

No, but that one action, compounded with "Yeah I was right in doing it, fuck you" totally invalidates his opinions of the business as far as who is a POS or not.

At least Bret never subject us to seeing his wrinkled 50-year old body wrestling the way Flair did.

Just because he got injured. Had he not gotten hurt by Goldberg, we dont know how much would he keep wrestling.

It only renders his opinions irrelevent when we are almost 12 years later, and he's still bitter as fuck over the whole thing.

See its comments like this one that makes me wonder when the last time you even listened to a Bret Hart interview?

In the last few interviews including this one it never came up. He only mentioned Ric Flair because he was reminded that both of them were appearing for ROH that weekend. He primarly talked about ROH and about the Hart Dynasty, as well as telling some stories about Waldoo Von Eric who worked for Bret's father when he was a kid.

In the last interview I heard him talk about it, he said he's over it and although he wishes things didn't happen that way, he's gotten over it and he talks to Vince on a fairly regular basis and is glad that he's been able to patch things up, not just for his own personal heath, but also for the sake of his family like Harry, & Natalya who he would be hurting by possibly ruining there chances getting into the WWE because of his burnt bridge. The only person he still has a grudge with is Shawn and its just from the fact that he doesn't believe Shawn's appologies are genuine and believes that Shawn is still the prick that everyone has said he was back in that day.

....There it is right there. Not saying that I wouldn't do the same for members of my family, but never-the-less it's just politics.

He's still bitter about it - He always will be.

Anyone else noted that even in the last month or two Bret has been quoted bitching about the old timers not passing the torch, yet the one guy that WAS prepared to (Flair) get's the brunt of his metamorphosized bitterness.

@ This Guy: I can't make it through Bret Hart shoots, he's just so monotonous to listen to and sounds like he can barely be bothered to project his voice... Just sits there fucking mumbling.

That and Rob Feinstein has no fucking clue about how to produce a video with GOOD AUDIO.

You have a point (Surely even a total novice would think of putting the mic nearer the subject than the interviewer, ffs?), but I get by with virtually every other guy apart from Hart (and maybe X-Pac, who sounded like he'd pretty much burned out his vocal chords thru smoking crack).

I know CMS said something like this in this thread somewhere, but I do think it is ironic that both Flair and Bret (arguably cause he did go to WCW and have a few matches sometime afterwords though can't recall if it was 98 or 99) have had their careers ended but HBK.

Bret wrestled for 2 years in WCW and was a 2 time World champion. So I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

Besides, I said HBK owned them, in a sense of being better than them. I don't know why you took that and make it into this weird fact of HBK having somehow ended both men careers.

1) no one said there wasn't any other reason for it.

2) No one said he wasn't bitter, the arguement is that he still bitches about, and as I pointed out, he doesn't. He rarely talks about it and when he does he makes a simple comment about how he's decided to leave it in the past for the good of his heath and the future of his family. Thats hardly bitching about it. Its like Shawn Michaels said once...the fans are the ones that won't let it go now. There the ones that can't leave it in the past, there the ones that have to chant, "you screwed Bret" still. granted that was more in refrence to Canadian fans, but the same holds true for most of the people I see here talking about it. It keeps coming up everything Bret is interviewed whether he talked about it or not. (which 90% of the time now he doesn't)

3) part of the reason he mumbles is because of his stroke that he had a couple years back. Don't know if you knew that, but he had a stroke and was actually temp. paralized on half of his body for awhile after. He had to relearn how to walk and use his hands again etc. And although he has made tremendous improvement in his heath (which ironically one doctor said because he has been abble to put the past in the past and not be angry all the time) he still never regained the full mobility of his mouth and vocal cords. Hense the mumbling and quiet talking.

Besides, I said HBK owned them, in a sense of being better than them. I don't know why you took that and make it into this weird fact of HBK having somehow ended both men careers.

Yeah Goldberg technically ended his career.
