Waiut, so because Bret Hart didn't wrestle the same guys, he's not as good? Flair should get his head on right. This isn't boxing or MMA, where you choose who you fight, and it counts for something. It's fake. The bookers control who you wrestle, and if those guys didn't happen to be there when Bret was in the company, don't pin it on him. Flair sounds like he's trying to convince himself though. Bret hasn't ever said anything abouyt Ric Flair in terms of his entertainment and as a performer. Just about his personality or backstage politics. He knows Flair is a legend. Flair, on the other hand,s ounds liek he's trying to make himself feel good, and convince himself he's great.

He called him overrated, that sounds to me as Bret Hart talking about Flair's entertainment and as a performer.

Then again, This Guy said that Bret Hart said on this radio show that Ric Flair was the best entertainer.

And in a way, Ric Flair is right. You're legend not only for what you do, but with who you do it with. John Cena can do everything he does, but unless Edge himself gets to legendary status, their matches will never be seen on the same light that Flair vs Harley Race for example.

Exactly. As you yourself even said, TG said that on the show he called Ric the best entertainer. Also, you can call someone overrated, and that doesn't mean you're saying they're not good. For example, I'd say Soulpower, Monkeystyle, and Kaedon are overrated, but that doesn't mean they're not good. They're still some of the best posters here, just not as good as everyone says they are. I guess Bret was saying Flair is still a great enetertainer and performer, but overrated at the same time. Either way, still sounds to me like flair is bitter.

I'd still say Flair was the better wrestler, mostly because Bret Hart only went sixty minutes with Shawn Michaels. Flair could go sixty minutes with Shark Boy if he wanted to.
So Flair is better because his matches went longer? Why do so many people feel long matches are great? I'm not saying they can't be, but it just seems that a lot of people have the opinion that if you reach an hour you had a fantastic match, regardless of what actually happened in that hour. In my eyes and many other wrestling fans feel the same way, the greatest match of all time is Steamboat/Savage from Wrestlemania 3, and that match lasted just around 15 minutes. So maybe someone could explain this whole wrestling longer matches makes you a better wrestler theory.

It makes you a better conditioned wrestler, and in some people's eyes it makes them better. And tbh, Flair did one hour broadways on a WEEKLY basis. How he didnt drop dead doing that is beyond me.

I'm sure there are plenty of guys that could wrestle an hour if they had to right now, and if they knew they were going to do it as often as Flair there is little doubt that they could do the right kind of training to be able to go an hour.

Just saying in some people's eyes it makes them a better wrestler doesn't answer my question though. I know that people think wrestling for an hour makes you a better wrestler. What I want to know is why people believe that.

For the same reason some people think more moves = better wrestler, or more over = better wrestler, or high spots = better wrestler, its all in what they like. The people who REALLY REALLY admire the athleticism of a 450 and the SSP will go ape over a guy who can do spots like that. A guy who really REALLY admires a good promo or good shtick probably likes a guy who is more over.

So having good moves, good overness with the fans, being able to perform high spots, being able to wrestle for long periods of time and having good promo skills SHOULDN'T dictate if your a good wrestler?

Wow.....I really want to know what you consider being a good wrestler entails if it has nothing to do with overness, cardio, ring psychology and charisma.

You guys are mis quoting. Bret said on the show that Flair was the better entertainer of the two of them. He didn't say the best. That never came up.

The part that amuses me is that Kaedon thinks that any wrestler who speaks ill of the wrestling business is shitting on the business.

No, I think any wrestler who.....thinks he's too big do drop the belt, throws a fucking hissy fit like a baby cunt on live PPV when he doesnt get his way, AND THEN runs down the wrestling business is SHITTING on it.

So one poorly conceived action renders all of his opinions irrelevant?

It only renders his opinions irrelevent when we are almost 12 years later, and he's still bitter as fuck over the whole thing.
