Resident Evil General Discussion Thread

This is truly incredible. The idea of doing a 'No Damage' run on any game, let alone Resident Evil just blows my mind.

There's so many things that can go and do go wrong.

The fact he did this at Games Done Quick is unbeliveable. In front of real people in the crowd and thousands watching the livestream. The amount of composure and skill that was needed to pull this off. Such a joy to watch.

If Capcom does ever do another REmake, would be interesting how they play it out.

Would be kind of cool to retread RE0 where you can snap between Chris and Jill within the mansion, and do the story proper with all four being in one campaign.

That's Me!
I think the rumors are RE5 is being remade as we speak. i personally want Code Veronica as it's the last dated game really. REmake and 0 still hold up.

that being said i'll eat up whatever they give me as long as it's not online only stuff.

I replayed Code Veronica recently and it grows on me more with each playthrough. Such an incredibly fun but flawed game that would really benefit from the Remake treatment. Some of the locations in it would look beautiful with today's graphics.

So I played Dead Aim recently and it was surprisingly quite enjoyable and fun to play. I went in fully expecting it to be a disaster (especially after playing RE: Survivor). I never got around to trying this game as I've never really been a massive fan of light-gun style games. I was surprised to learn this is a hybrid between 3rd and 1st person perspectives, that immediately made it more enticing when I booted it up. The 3rd person gameplay is like the classic RE experience where you can explore rooms to find key items and whatnot. It's actually got some great atmosphere and the setting itself is really good. Some great music too, especially the save room theme. The characters, story and voice acting is pretty bad and forgettable but it does have some cool villain ideas. It's a pretty short game and doesn't take long to beat, I enjoyed my time spent with it. Graphics aren't half-bad either.

2 levels above, 2 steps ahead
Strong hints and rumors about a remake of the first game are circulating online. So that would be the second remake for this game after the perfect one that came out on GameCube in 2002 and still holds up today.
