I'm WWE for life, Have been since i was a kid I'm never jumping ship no matter how hyped up another/New promotion may be.

I don't mind a few matches from places like WCW, TNA, NJPW, ROH and maybe a one off with AEW but I know where my fandom loyalties are at.

Oh my freaking, grow up the fuck up everybody. This may be the stupidest thread I have in a long time and that is saying a fucking lot.

What sets AEW apart from NJPW and ROH is access to the wrestling shows. Yeah, you can get NJPW World or all the ROH PPVS, but I think people are excited about AEW because it has large financial backing, it will have a regular basic cable LIVE TV show and they have stated over and over that they want to provide fans who are sick of Sports Entertainment with a wrestling show. And yes, it IS different than the other promotions for all of those reasons.

I'll watch WWE. I always have. WWE has, though, ALWAYS had the tendency to offer wrestlers much more money than anyone else, thus preventing a lot of promotions from really getting the best wrestlers out there and some major names. That is what sets it apart. ROH is not going to steal AJ back from WWE. All the other promotions cannot compete business wise and now there is one that can. AEW is not trying to be another WWE, they're not trying to take the fans who are diehard WWE watchers.

But again, grow the fuck up. If you don't want to watch AEW, then don't watch it. But then don't tell other people how they should feel about it. No one here can decide the reasons that someone should or does like a wrestling company.

And this is directed at everyone in this thread.

How can they be better?

In ethics, we call this evasion. It is questioning the question. You stated AEW looked worse and Snowman wanted to know why. Asking him how AEW could look better doesn't validate your argument. It, in fact, invalidates it because it implies you are incapable of supporting your conclusion. You made the comment first so how about explaining to everyone why it looks worse?

Or in my Philosophy class, attempting to shift the burden of proof.

Quote.. This embodies everything about why I can't stand Wrestling fans.
This is A Wrestling Fan Site So Why Are You Here Day After Day Reading & Commenting On Wrestling Fans Opinions if You Carn't Stand Them
Doh! :facepalm1: Lmfao Crazy lol

Wrestling fans are sports fans. We have things we like, we have things we hate. We have fans we like, we have fans we hate. I don't see any hypocrisy in Seto's post.

HOWEVER

I really hate when wrestling fans use the internet to disparage the Internet Wrestling Community. Anybody that Blue needs to go back to preschool

Jacob Fox already hit the nail on the head, but there is something i wanna add.

This notion of "You wont stop watching WWE" or "Nobody will stop watching WWE" is silly, nobody has the right to tell others what they will or wont watch, people can like what they like. I'll admit i have watched WWE for what feels like a lifetime because there wasnt any real alternative, sure there was ROH and NJPW and they arnt as easily availible as WWE is. Fast forward to AEW and there is finaly a legit alternative.

Look at WWE, Vince changes the show the day of, pushed roman reigns when fans rejected him as a babyface, has held a grudge over luke harper because he cant do a southern accent and thus extended his contract by 6 months and continues not to use him. They may do the same to sasha, morale there is appearntly the lowest its ever been. And now they introduce the 24/7 title which is amazingly ugly, and Brock Lesnar is MrMoneyInTheBank, despite WWE fans being tired of him. Did i mention Baron Corbin is facing AJ Styles? or the fact Super Showdown exists?

I cant wait for AEW to start doing TV every week, because i have no faith in WWE anymore, im already terrifyed they will screw up Bray Wyatt like they did last time he was over, and i have no doubt they will do it again. Honestly Bray is the only thing keeping me watching, and if they screw him up. I have no reason to keep watching, i'll just patiently wait for AEW because if Double or Nothing was any Indication, i know ima enjoy their product a whole lot more.

The way I see it, you watch what you want. If you enjoy WWE, enjoy it. If you enjoy AEW, enjoy it. If you want to watch both, watch both. You can still support either brand/company without being entirely happy with what they are doing. Talk about what you like about them. Talk about what you think is wrong with them. This is a forum. It is meant for people to share ideas and opinions and if you go far enough on the same subject with someone who agrees with you, you will often find something you don't agree on and that is okay. If you don't care about either, that is fine too. We have members here who aren't into wrestling really at all anymore but are here solely because they like other members.

Also, there are a lot of members on here who are not happy with the current state of WWE but they still want to support the company. When you really stop caring about WWE or anything in general, you don't want to talk about it anymore. Complaining or pointing out things you think need to change implies you still care, it doesn't imply you hate WWE. Maybe I look at it differently, I don't know.

It is a little funny when you think about it. Most people I know who like the idea of AEW, still watch WWE and will continue to do so. Like me. Double or Nothing was superior to anything WWE has done in years. But I have the network every month since it was launched. NJPW is my favorite promotion and I haven't had World every month since it was released. I supported them against WCW in the Monday Night War. And if AEW goes down or thrives, I will keep watching WWE.

It seems the only people really being petty about this are the ones who have decided to hate AEW without giving it a chance.

People can hate what they hate. Don't need to call it petty. Now that's petty

I call it as I see it and honestly, your posts on the matter only make my opinion about it stronger. If you don't like it, don't watch. But stop telling other people WHY they are watching. You're really not that special that you can decide why other people do things.

I haven't done that dude. I haven't told anyone why they watch anything.

And yeah, you told The Sheik that he was watching AEW and dissing WWE because he was trying to be edgy. He's likely watching AEW because he enjoys it and dissing WWE because he hasn't been enjoying that.
