I think you guys are reading too much into this. I don’t think he literally meant a 5 star match. He just meant he can go out there and have a good match/feud with anyone whenever you ask him to. Don’t take everything so literal.

He just had a great feud with LA Knight out of nowhere and had a fucking awesome match with Rollins a few months ago. Don’t be a hater
I'm not, just giving my take on it. I like plenty of shit he's done, I just also disagree with what he's saying and think we're reaching a point where he's being overrated at lot. Which I get. He got a lot of undue hate for years, so I think now we're just seeing some overcompensation for that. But if I'm supposed to act like he's an absolutely brilliant wrestler who is always having engaging feuds and putting on great (or even really good) matched, then I'm not gonna do that shit.

I think I understood him just fine, I disagree with his assessment of what constitutes a 5 star match

Again… he’s probably exaggerating cause that’s just what he does.
that's fine lol I'm still gonna give my opinion on it

Either way, I feel what Hoss said. I think he hated on hard and now the pendulum swung a bit far the other way. To me Miz will always be a fine and extremely reliable midcarder with above promo skills. but his character work has been coasting for 5+ years

I mean yeah I mostly agree with that. I think he’s been reenergized this year tbh.

he looks more motivated for sure, especially between the ropes. I still feel he's just very...safe about every thing he does and I think if he took more risks with his character it would be more interesting. who knows if that is his choice tho, and I can certainly understand staying in your lane

His loyalty, reliability and unselfishness are definitely elite level. His production as a whole throughout his career is pretty average though with some flashes of greatness.

I think it’s easy to take him for granted simply because of how long he’s been around but he’s still on tv every single week. I’ve been watching this motherfucker since I was in 3rd grade. Now I’m 25 and he’s on my tv every week like any other superstar. I think it’s rare to find someone who can play a pure chickenshit heel as good as he can and for as long as he’s done. It was never his job to be the best in the company. It was his job to talk a big game, antagonize the crowd, then get the shit beat out of him by a babyface which would put them over and he’s always done that very well. WWE have only ever really allowed him to play that character and he’s always done that really well.

The Miz is the man tbh. He knows his lane and he does it very well.

The Miz is great and he plays his part well in just about everything he’s done imo, and he’s not wrong with what he said in that interview. I respectfully disagree with those that think otherwise on this subject .

I will agree with his point that wins and losses don’t affect his value. He’s going to have a job for life if he wants.

Now, in terms of his in ring work. Today’s fan isn’t going to appreciate as a worker cause he isn’t flashy.

But as a worker, he’s safe, he’s reliable and you could put him anywhere on the card and he wouldn’t look out of place.

In terms of his best matches; I’d say the Ladder Match with Dolph in 2016(I think?) and the Triple Threat with Seth and Balor at Mania in 2018. Also, he worked Danielson at Summerslam that year.

I don't think flashiness has anything to do with the appreciation of his ring work. It's great to be safe and fundamentally sound, but he just simply does not produce great matches outside of the occasional gem. It's okay.

My personal favorite match of his is against Rollins at Backlash 2018 (terrible show) followed by that Extreme Rules four-way that also had Cesaro, Zayn and Owens.
