Pretty good opening with Kane and Bret, with an appearance by the Undertaker and Kane deciding to fuck off.

I didn't like this feud at first because we've seen it 3273283792 times before but I really liked this confrontation.

LOVE the clips of classic Raw episodes, brings me back to the good old days.

I hated the classic Raw segments overall. Some were good and it was nice to see that WWE added some moments that occured relatively recent. I hated how WWE didn't have the balls to name some of the talent that are in TNA. They made comments about Hogan, Flair, Stone Cold and Lesnar. It often seemed that the show went from fast paste moments (Which really didn't consist of much worth noting) then it went to slow moments where they really built on several things (Like the Alberto situation).

A full review of Raw:

WWE RAW 30/8/10 Review:

Something that seemed very obvious throughout the show is how WWE really didn't have anyone special to be on the show from the past. The moments where wrestlers like Punk and Show commented and hinted comments regarding Hulk Hogan, Rock, Stone Cold and Brock Lesnar often came off like WWE were offended that these guys had declined an appearance and wanted to bury them.

I liked the opening segment. Sure, It didn't make sense how Bret suddenly appeared but WWE needed someone who's face is well-known when it comes to the history of RAW, Thus the forgetting of a storyline set less than a month ago. I found it interesting how they used the appearance of Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes to compensate for the loss of Stone Cold and Rock (Pfft, They can't hold a candle to them). I hated how Swagger said he'd returned to Raw when he did near to nothing on the show and made his name on Smackdown.

I love the idea of unifying the WWE Divas & Womens belts. I think it's long over-due and potentially could be the best thing for the divas division. I would suggest allowing every diva access to Smackdown and Raw so they can appear on any show they want.

Kaval and Bryan Danielson has to be the most promising team ever. The only note I have regarding the NXT segment, I damn sure hope Alex Riley wins.

Clearly the best part of the show, Punk cut a promo on the fans in boston and on Show. I hated how WWE often referred to old wrestlers but never featured any (Besides Hart).

As for the main event, Ugh. In a match where the kayfabe audience had no idea who to cheer (The live audience only cheered Orton. They boo'd Cena despite him being from the town). The action was quite good, Except for the elimination stipulation since it was just a spot fest towards the end. I like it when people do their finisher moves, Turn around and get nailed with someone elses finisher but it was OTT. As for Wade standing tall (On his own), I liked it but I would have preferred ALL of Nexus to be standing tall.

In what was a sometimes boring and a loose show, It never made me want to continue watching. It was actually boring and too fast for me mostly.

Regarding Alberto Del Rio's performance on RAW, I loved it. I'm really beginning to get into this character. I love how he entered during a match and squashed another small wrestler. Alberto will most likely face Mysterio at HIAC in a HellInACell match. After that, I see Alberto challenging the new World Champion (Undertaker).

All things considered this didn't feel like a 900th anniversary episode of RAW. There were no special guests, while the 800th episode had appearances from both Stone Cold & Hulk Hogan. It wasn't a 3 hour special, there wasn't really anything "special" about it that couldn't of been done on any other Raw. Essentially that's just what it was, a 2 hour normal episodic chapter of Raw that featured a lot of Smackdown guys.

However, I will say that I loved Alberto Del Rio's segment, loved Kane's interactions with The Undertaker and LOVED how Cena & Orton actually took clean pinfall losses to Nexus! Edge & Jericho delivered quality promos all around hyping the Six Pack Challenge. So as a stand alone Raw by itself, this was actually a pretty good show. Just not 900th Episode good.

What? You think Ray and Alberto will be in a Hell in a Cell match?

Agreed. WWE appeared to give more time to Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Kane, Undertaker and CM Punk than they did to Cena (Who only made one appearance), Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Nexus. It seemed like a really good Smackdown and I can see this as WWE testing what it would be like for those guys to work on a live show (Reports have surfaced saying WWE will unify the belts and possibly delete the brand extension.

Umm, where did you read those "reports"? I know you take a lot of the stuff from the garbage sites with more than the grain of salt that they should be taken with, but that's not going to happen at all.

This Raw was decent, and as stated before, was not 900th ep. material. Not to mention that crowd suckeddddddd. But this show was full of awesome, awesome promos. Edge, Jericho, Show and Punk all gave killer promos, too bad the crowd was too dense to get the awesomeness of Punk's schtick. The best match of the night was the 3 way tag team match but that sorry crowd killed it.

Besides the promos as Enzo stated above, this in no way looked like a 900th episode of Raw. The only match I actually watched was the triple threat tag match which was really good. The Kaval/Danielson pairing maybe a keeper.

It was probably the best segment of Raw. He referred to Stone Cold, Rock, Lesnar and Hogan. I'm shocked he did that but I have to admit - It was a fantastic promo.

what was dissapointing is that they ruined two matches that could have been good in mcintyre and rhodes vs. truth and morrison and hart vs taker just to push the nexus which is dieng fast and... didn't it say somewhere nexus is done in october? Why ruin a good match for that... and the double dq tag thing.. embarassing...

^ Morris/Truth vs. Cody/Drew wasn't to push Nexus? Bret/Taker couldn't have happened anyway due to Brets injury and Takers in a vegitative state. Cody/Drew vs. Morrison/Truth was just awful for the potential it could have had. Put the full-length match on Superstars or Smackdown.

What... the... hell? Hart vs Taker could have been good? Bret can barely walk in the ring. How the hell is he going to have a match? Do you remember his match with Vince? Let alone people are on this rant about WWE's youth movement, those 2 combined age are 98. 98!! Some youth movement. I'm tired of the Nexus act but that was a blessing in disguise to save us from that train wreck of a match.
