WM 20 a similar undersized wrestler was crying in the middle of the ring. I love when WWE gives credit to the workers at the big event. Daniel Bryan is the placeholder of the company, and will not be the face. He is what we have for now, and that deserves to be cherished. If you're a fan of Ziggler, Punk, Mysterio, Guerrero, Beniot, Malenko, then you love moments like this. The story was beautifully written 8 months out (even if it changed) it was constructed beautifully (besides that hiccup random DB to wyatts) That story 10/10 one of the best in memory.

lmao, same. People are ranking it with WM17. It was good, but don't overrate this shit. lol
Who cares what those marks say. The same people rating it as "the greatest of all time" would be crying in their daniel bryan footy pajamas right now if he hadn't gone over.

Pre Show tag title match was entertaining and glad the Usos retained and the Real Americans finally split... BIG things are coming for Cesaro

Opening segment with Hogan, SCSA, and Rock just put a big smile on my face.. very cool!

DB vs HHH was entertaining and believable.... they pushed each other to their limits.... That HHH entrance though... wow!

Shield vs Kane/NAO was too short... I'm sorry but after a few weeks of build up you have a 5-6 min long match? Went way too quick... and the Shield seriously need to break up so they can really start shining individually.

Battle Royal was too damn manic.... I hate trying to watch 20 things happening at once... but once it got down to the final 5 or so it got better, Cesaro and Show mimicking the Hogan/Andre slam as Cesaro throw Show over the top was absolutely brilliant... glad Cesaro is starting to get that individual push finally!

The psychology of Bray Wyatt vs Cena was brilliant... one man trying to tap into the dark side of another man's psyche and that man fighting for everything he was worth... Bray Wyatt should have won though... Cena needs to start putting over some of the young talent, it's just getting ridiculous now.

Lesnar defeated the Undertaker in a match where I believe the Taker made the call on the final result... Thank You Taker!

AJ Lee retained.. not a surprise.

Bryan defeated Orton and Batista for the title.... also not really a surprise but a welcome change to the 8 months of shit that DB has weathered.... we'll see how long he will hold it this time.

8/10 overall... a few memorable moments and Bray Wyatt should have won.

That Taker loss probably has to go down as one of the most shocking WWE results of all time. I'm pretty pissed off unless it means Lesnar tripling his dates and winning the strap. Why have Wyatt on the card jobbing to Cena when he could be getting put over for life by Taker?

Aside from that, I was that fussed really. Bryan's moment was great and all, but it was painfully predictable and it just felt tacky with the whole underdog thing. I'm just hoping that the crowd begin to wear of his 'Yes' gimmick soon because it's dull as fuck IMO. He was at his best when he was a tweener with Kane, at least his character had some edge to it then.

The matches themselves were decent. They weren't as poor as last year (generally speaking), but none of them were spectacular. There was no standout MOTN, I'm on the fence as to whether I'd give it to Cena/Wyatt or HHH/D-Bry. The rest were just very bleh.

One more random thought to spew out in probably the least structured post of all time: I marked my tits off for the opening segment. Could have used a young heel to come out and be a dick but, whatever, it was still awesome.

Ehn, I'll do a quick run through and thoughts.

Opener - Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold and The Rock
- A very good start to Mania. I think Hogan fucking up his line made it that much better. Overall, good promo's by all three of them.

Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H
- Anyone notice how sexy Triple H's entrance was? Yeah, that was dope as hell. MOTN for me personally, but I think it could have had a better finish to it.

The Shield vs. Kane and The New Age Outlaws
- No Comment

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- Didn't really care until Cesaro started going ham on everyone. Sadly, he eliminated Rey Mysterio who I chose for my prediction contest. :sad1: But yeah, him beasting on Big Show was nice.

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
- I liked the match and the story it told, but fuck. Cena didn't have to win this one and if he did, I wish he did it with the monster inside of him, not his good side.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
- Don't know what to say about this match. It wasn't dog shit, but I lost interest half way into it and at the end, I was just lost for words. Seriously, the biggest twist ever and not sure if in a good way. I think the audiences reaction made it that much better, but not really happy that he lost.

Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational
- Didn't watch as I got pissed that Taker lost and stopped watching

WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Batista vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
- Probably second or third match of the night. I was still feeling the effects of Taker, but this match had a good few spots in it. Especially, the Batista Bomb and RKO combat which I think was actually a TKO? But yeah, pretty cool Bryan got his Mania moment and celebrated with his family.

I actually thought overall match quality was pretty disappointing.

Hunter v Bryan was MOTN. I thought that Cena v Wyatt never got going and was overshadowed by Cena's struggle. The streak match was dire. And the triple threat was a cluttered mess as everyone expected.

Ironic Punk quits because he couldn't beat the streak, and wasn't main eventing mania. Now Brock(Heyman guy) breaks the streak and Bryan not only opened but main evented mania, and won

Not to sound rude, but i'm pretty sure that's not why he quit. I'd also like to point out the fact that because Punk quit, Daniel Bryan got this whole Feud with Trips in the first place.

Overall though it was a good card, the only matches that felt off were The Shield and Undertaker matches.

You know me so well.

Honest answer: 9/10

I'm totally confused with the end of the Undertaker/Lesnar match. My rating could go down if they screw up the story that comes out of it (if the "End of the Streak" just gives us: "Me Bork. Me Beat DEAD MAN. Me WANT TITLE!!!!!", then it sucks....because I have a strong suspicion that we were going to get that anyway). They've given us an "Oh, shit!" moment. Now they need to do something great with it.

Other than that:

DB was the star of the night. Yes, if he had lost the title match (or the opener), it would have been a completely shit show. They constructed and executed one of the best storylines in recent memory with Bryan and it had to pay off at Wrestlemania. And it did.

Cesaro winning the Battle Royal was completely unexpected (yes, I know, somebody now says they saw it coming a mile away) and the image of him lifting and eliminating the Big Show (who had to be considered a prohibitive favorite) is one that will be showed many times going forward.

AJ retaining was a pretty unexpected result, but the match really wasn't bad and it gave the audience time to recover from the Taker loss in time to be into the triple threat.

I don't get the hate I'm seeing on the Cena/Wyatt match. It was a terrific match that told a story. If you were expecting a spot fest (I have no idea why anybody would, but...) or you didn't get the turmoil within John Cena or you wanted a Wyatt squash, you may not have enjoyed it, but this match was the best example of old-school wrestling we got, and an excellent example at that. It reminded me (and I said this in the LD) of a Jake Roberts match.

Shield/Kane/NAO was what we thought it would be, if not being more of a squash than we figured it would be.

In short, not the best Mania EVARRRR, but it was a very strong effort and an enjoyable show.
