I would say his mic skills are worse than his charisma. He could convey emotion and tell a proper story when he needed to.

I feel like people miss the boat with Benoit being able to tell a story when they never got to see the 1997 War Games match when Perfect turned on the Horsemen. Seeing Benoit, handcuffed to the cage, scratching, clawing, never giving up, literally trying to rip his own hand off to get at Perfect for his betrayal, it's *chef's kiss* prime storytelling.
