Opening

John Cena returned and challenged the winner of tonight's WWE World Championship match for the belt at the Royal Rumble.

Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship Four Corner Elimination Match: Champions The Wyatt Family vs the Uso vs Heath Slater and Rhyno vs American Alpha

Heath Slater and Rhyno were eliminated first.
The Usos were eliminated second.
The Wyatts were eliminated third and thus American Alpha became the new tag team champions.

Smackdown Live Women's Championship: Champion Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch.

Alexa Bliss pinned Becky Lynch to retain the Smackdown Live Woman's Championship

Backstage

Miz was doing a promo with several security officers around him. When he dismissed them, Dean Ambrose appeared and beat him down.

WWE World Championship Triple Threat Match: Champion AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler vs Baron Corbin

AJ Styles pinned Dolph Ziggler to retain his WWE World Championship.

After the match, John Cena came to the ring and challenged AJ at the Royal Rumble and offered his hand. AJ laid the belt down and shook his hand.

This last Smackdown Live of the year continued to show why Smackdown is easily the better show. This show was a solid 9. The only detriment was that the women's match wasn't as good as I would have liked.

I honestly was going to do this like I used to, show what I liked and didn't like. But honestly, I liked everything, even Cena.

The WWE World title match is worth watching just for Corbin actually. It was probably the best match I've ever seen him in. Anyhow, I would say to completely skip Raw if you haven't watched it but DEFINITELY watch Smackdown. They ended the year right!

Watched most of the show on my lunch break, just wrapped up the Main Event now that I'm off work. Awesome show! Easy 9/10 rating, everything was solid. Not a perfect show so that's the reason for the 9 but still great production again for SD Live.

~ So the show opens up with that Guy who won't marry Nikki Bella...he talks about
stuff I don't care about and then says he gets a title shot against whoever is World
champion at the Royal Rumble.

Excuse me...I have a question...well 2 questions actually...#1...Why do you just
get a title shot? and #2...why don't you want to marry Nikki Bella? Are you gay?

~ Okay...so I thought American Alpha would get the tag titles in 2017...Hell...
I wanted them to...because if you haven't noticed I'm all about the WWE pushing
new talent (as long as their ready...looking at you Dana Brooke) but for them
to finish the year as champions by defeating my boys the Wyatts...I'm in shock...
And a tiny bit pissed.

Is this an emergency change of plans? Were the Hype Bros meant to win the belts?
Is the Wyatt Family falling apart already? Does Nikki Bella snore in her sleep?

~ Nice Baron Corbin promo...I want a Corbin T-Shirt...and Nikki Bella wants to
have babies...may-be he's struggling to get an erection?

~ Okay...so I have 2 options here. Option 1: Carmella inhaled too much of that
fire extinguisher gas at TLC and she is still high or has minor brain damage...
or Option 2: James Ellsworth is a human tripod.

But honestly...it could always be worse for Carmella...I mean they could have
her constantly farting all the time.

May-be Nikki Bella is always farting? I mean who would want to marry a woman
with a serious gas problem?

~ EVERYONE SHUT UP!!! Its Alexa Bliss...pass me my hand lotion...what?...I have
dry skin. And here comes Becky "Help Me Open This Tin Of Pineapple" Lynch. This
should be a good match...well...I hope it is.

upset at being underutilized, her husband not being able to wrestle ever again

really well. Give that man the IC title. Wait...I've got it...Ambrose beats
the Miz for it...then Corbin rips Dean to pieces and wins the title. You know
its going to happen.

Really didn't expect AA to win and Wyatts to lose the titles so fast but I like it, keeping us on our toes SDLive.

I'm starting to think SDLive getting one hour less is the best thing ever to happen to the show, i mean they just went strength from strength while Raw... well you know what happened to Raw lol.

I like the fact they protected Corbin and made Dolph take the pin. Looking forward to the RR, it's gonna be the first WWE PPV i have watched in ages. (Although, not live because Timezones.)

I was his biggest hater...
Even when others would be like "You gotta give it to him for this" I'd be like "no I don't, he sucks"

Then Roman came in & it really made me appreciate his intensity & charisma. Roman makes Cena look like Ric Flair & the thought of him leaving his spot to Roman makes me vomit. I DO NOT want to see Reigns for the next 15 years.

I wanted everyone to boo Cena with me for his whole career & not every single person would but NOW when we actually NEED Cena, so it prevents Roman, everyone decides to boo since it's the cool thing to do. I'm actually into Cena now, have no idea why & never thought that I would be.

Then again I don't see him doing that as a heel or on SD but I can dream & he does come off much cooler as a heel. Either way, I will take him as the face of the company over Reigns any day.
