with both Rumbles, it felt like this show was going on for an eternity but I'd say it was really good PPV overall.
- Becky vs Asuka was a great match but I don't know how to feel about Becky tapping out the way she did. I guess it's easy to shrug it off now that she won the Rumble but I still think it would have been better if Asuka just choked her out until she was unconscious. It would have put Asuka's Asuka Lock over and Becky for never giving up. I'm not one who likes to compare her to Stone Cold, but that Mania 13 finish could have worked quite well here.
- Shane & Miz winning the Smackdown Tag Titles is cool with me. People are acting like the Bar had this incredible run with the titles and it's unheard of that Shane McMahon beat them for it. They've done a really good job with this "Best Tag Team in the World" thing while Sheamus and Cesaro have done nothing as of late. I love both of 'em but I totally get why they did this.
- Ronda and Sasha had a pretty good match as well. There's not much to say about it really. Ronda winning by pinfall is awkward as hell lol.
- now, the Women's Rumble was terrible. I don't think anyone can dispute that. There weren't any cool spots, stories being told or general excitement over who entered the match. Literally the only good thing about it was everything that had to do with Becky. Once that happened, it looked bright.. but before that, it was just a bunch of women stalling until the next person came out. And even though we didn't have any untrained oldies in the mix this year, everything still looked clumsy as fuck. @Mr. Roman Empire I'm guessing that's why the men went on last. The company knew they didn't have anything exciting for this match other than the ending.
- Bryan vs Styles was good, the crowd was just burnt out from Becky winning and that took a lot away from it. Erick Rowan aligning himself with Bryan seems like a cool idea, interested to see where it leads.
- I'm telling you, Brock loves working these types of matches. He sold perfectly for Balor and I actually really liked the explanation they gave as to why Brock started beating up Balor after the match. Finn hurt Brock bad and that upset him; so simple yet so effective. If Brock would have shrugged this victory off like any other, everything Balor did during the match would have meant nothing, but this way, it actually seemed like Balor got to him. Good stuff.
- and the men's Rumble was great. I see people clowning on WWE again for being predictable and all that. Honestly, I couldn't care less, I'd rather have a predictable outcome I like than an unpredictable one that makes no sense. I'm really glad Seth won and the Nia stuff was insane, I would have never expected them to do that. Nia Jax is like the perfect hall pass for male on female violence in the E lol. She's big enough to take it and nobody likes her on top of that. But yea, great match all together, I don't think it was better than last year's but maybe I'd have to watch it again to judge on that.
