Meh, Jericho should have won. The other matches were good though (Cena VS Styles was sweet)

AJ and Cena were amazing.

Kevin and Roman were great.

The other matches were okay....

The Rumble let me down. I feel like they should have had at least one person be a surprise and so many other wrestlers deserved to win over Orton. I am sorry but that just ruined it for me.

Dumb to have the backstage segments picking random numbers and then having Lesnar, Goldberg and Taker appear late. And Tye Dillinger somehow picks 10 as well? Okay.

4/10 minus 6 for the rumble, the fourth consecutive year... well maybe sixth actually... I mean last year was ok but i'm ready to pack my things and quit watching WWE. I don't want the stinking Orton Cena rivalry ruling Mania

Fun rumble match. Love how WWE trolled the fuck out of everyone with Reigns coming out #30 while people were expecting someone like Joe or Finn lmao

But hate that Reigns eliminated my man Taker, dude is dead to me

Most the PPV was fine. Cena vs Styles was good, even if Cena won. The Kevin Owens vs Roman match was surprisingly good as a whole, women's match was a decent opener and the CW match was one of the better ones since they went on the main roster.

But the issue with the Rumble match is that first of all, Roman should not have been in it at all. He should have been far away from it. His inclusion immediately sapped the life out of the Rumble and him eliminating Undertaker did as well. Even if there was a lack of surprise returns there were good moments like Braun killing everyone, Tye appearing, him, Corbin and Zayn triple teaming Braun...New Day doing some cool spots, Cesaro and Sheamus teaming then turning on each other. Now that I have settled down a bit, I see Randy winning may not be bad if it leads to him vs Bray at Mania for the belt rather than another Cena vs Orton match, with Bray going over. But still, the fact is Randy Orton won the Royal Rumble in 2017...could have been almost anyone else but him. As Brit said, the end of a PPV can hurt it and it did for an otherwise solid show.

I went with a 6 for this. You know, I enjoyed the PPV BUT the Rumble match was completely awful. There were NO surprises. No Legends. It was too predictable.

Even though the Rumble is only one match, it is my favorite event of the year. And now it'll be 365 days before I see another Rumble match and that annoys me.

So here we go:

Charlotte vs Bayley ***1/2 This was better than I thought. I really enjoyed it. There were some great moments and the queen continues her streak.

Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns ***3/4 I really was surprised how much I liked this match. I am glad KO won and glad Roman isn't champion yet again. Very happy. There were some great spots and I loved Jericho's interference.

Rich Swann vs Neville **1/2 The cruiserweight matches have been awful. WWE just doesn't know how to do this division.

AJ Styles vs John Cena **** Match of the night easily. These two put on gold every time. Congrats to John Cena for matching the fake record of Ric Flair's 16 time world champion. Flair actually has 21 World Titles, so it really doesn't mean much to me. But this match was just great and made the night.

Royal Rumble * Absolutely awful match. There were some great moments in it... Lesnar clearing the ring was cool. Goldberg once again destroying Lesnar. The best moments came from Braun Strowman and Chris Jericho. I liked Strowman's dominance. I also thought it was awesome that Corbin got to eliminate him. Now, Jericho was the star of the Rumble. I loved his strategy of hiding outside the ring. He really was the best thing.

But come on WWE. This is the Mother Flurking Royal Flurking Rumble. It's supposed to be one of the most exciting and fun matches of the year and you screwed it up with no interesting surprises or returns. You HAVE to have surprised in the Rumble. It blew.

If the Rumble was good, this would have been an 8 or a 9. It fell to a 6 based solely off the Rumble. Irritated.

:psycho: It's my show and I'll make it as crappy as I want!

All of the matches were great, especially Cena vs. Styles. I was a little bit surprised with Cena winning, but hey, it still felt awesome to see him with that title again. Hyped for the EC.
Moving on, and as I said above, all of the matches on the card lived up their expectations. Roman vs. Owens was great, especially with Owens coming out with the win. Also, I am interested to see where Roman/Braun will go from there. Charlotte vs. Bayley was alright, and Neville vs. Swann was, in my opinion, one of the better matches of the night. Surprised that The Club won the titles on the preshow, but hey, they deserve it and I am hoping that Cesaro and Sheamus stick together for just a little more..as they can be pretty freaking entertaining. Nia vs. Sasha was predictable, the six women's tag match was, however, not to me. I expected the heels to win, but at my surprise the baby-faces got the W. Interested to see where this goes, especially with Naomi pinning Alexa. Hope she fights her for the Women's title at Mania.

Now to the Royal Rumble. Let's just say, it didn't live up to my expectations. The Rumble last year was way better IMO, and I feel as this one could have easily beaten that one if it was booked correctly. Big Cass as a #1 entrant didn't feel right to me, someone else, someone with a more noticeable name should've taken it. And to make it worse, he was eliminated early. Jericho I liked, alongside many other things. The Ellsworth segment made me laugh a bit, especially with Dean tricking him to enter. Braun getting eliminated early did shock me a bit, and I was still shocked to see nothing out of him for the rest of the match. Goldberg, Lesnar, and Undertaker's entrance numbers were too predictable, we all knew they were going to enter near the end and they did. Going on, WWE really screwed up with some of the entrants. Apollo Crews? Kalisto? Enzo? Those spots could have been taken by returning veterans, or debuting superstars from NXT. They wasted this oppurtunity, but hey, I am glad Dillinger got in at #10. Hope he goes to Smackdown if this officially started his main roster career.

One of the things that I highly disliked was Reigns entering at #30. Yes, it was *unpredictable* but oh my gosh why him. Why..
If WWE doesn't have some amazing plans for him, then this was one of biggest mistakes in my recent memory of Rumbles. To top it off, he eliminated Undertaker! This makes us think that he will face Taker at Mania, but then we remember he has beef with Strowman. Who is it WWE!? If this somehow turns into a triple threat between all those men I will be really disappointed and lose faith in their booking team. They can do better.
However, a plus from this is that we could finally see Reign's long awaited heel turn. Again, if WWE is smart here, they would use the heat Roman got from eliminating Taker to drive him to a full monster-heel. He's already booed half of the time, so this is perfect. If I know WWE, though, I doubt it at this point.

Overall, the show was good but I feel like the Rumble ruined it a bit. I am happy Orton won, and now Wyatt vs. Orton at 'Mania is a possibility. That'd be really cool.
I wished that someone else would've won, but Orton is always a good choice. Glad with the show, and I am ready for the Road to Wrestlemania.

They barely even did the segment too it was so half-arsed. :annoyed:
