It wasn't even a good cage opening either like he just kicked that shit in, you telling me that some steel cage match doors are stronger than Hell in a Cell. Whoever wrote that deserves to be fired and let the door hit them on the way out.

I agree with you man. If that door wasn't a setup it was a poor sense of security.

Brock Lesnar came in, tore the cage opened and beat Roman and Braun and the match was thrown out.
Not predictable at all but the fact that they both had to stop the match over a single F5 each... LOL
This ending made the entire PPV sound like an utter joke to me. Should rename this to "Meme in a Cell".

To be fair, he did beat the shit out of them with table pieces.. The PPV was a joke, none of it made any sense, besides AJ retaining.

If all the titles were on the line then this ppv would of been a chore to watch. les matches the better. Not every title needs to be defended.

Brock coming back makes total sense for the storyline. I bet the plan is doing Roman vs Brock vs Strowman at Wrestlemania

Brock coming back isn't the issue and no one claimed it was. The issue is the HIAC ending in a no contest, which makes no sense. Brock could come in and beat the shit out of both guys three times and the match SHOULD have continued to a pinfall or submission because that is SUPPOSED to be how Hell in a Cell works.

Brock coming back was fine, awesome even, it's calling the Hell in a Cell match between the two baddest men in the company a draw because they each got one F5 that makes no sense. Like... Roman reaches over and puts one hand on Strowman's chest, 123, sure, whatever, we were all expecting Roman to win anyways so it's not that bad, but even after we all accepted Roman winning, they still managed to find a way to disappoint us by having a non finish.... In a Hell in a Cell. What?!

Oh, and fun fact Foxo, actually only 36/38 have finishes, once Mankind and Kane had a HiaC match where Austin did basically the same thing done here on a random Raw is War episode

My comment was referring to the past Hell in a Cell matches and not including the main event last night. Before last night's main event, there have been 39 Hell in a Cell matches. 38 of them ended decisively and only the Mankind and Kane one was a no contest. So. that's exactly what I was referring to.

I never said anything about anybody saying it was an issue...

Anyway, i honestly thought Roman was gonna get the pin when Brock F5d him onto Strowman. But he ended up rolling off of him.

I don't believe I said that you did say anyone said it was an issue. You said it made sense, I decided to comment that it was fine and then commented on what I thought about it. I don't believe I ever said you said anything that you didn't. It was a comment that came to my mind when I was reading your quote so I quoted you.

That's what should of happened. It would be interesting to see what fans would moan about instead.

That's all they had to do. You guys know how I feel about Roman but that ending would have been much better than what we got.

Yeah Rusev Day vs New Day was absolutely nonsensical. It broke the rules of the universe.

I guess it just became the day after Rusev Day?
Every day my ass, it's a brand new day, yes it is?

That's all they had to do. You guys know how I feel about Roman but that ending would have been much better than what we got.

Yeah but that would sort-of make Braun look bad? Maybe? Idk.

If you don't have a good finish for a match then DON'T BOOK THE MATCH

it's not even that anyone is losing their shit over it, it was just nonsense. A HIAC match is supposed to have a definitive ending. Previous to this, 38 of 39 HIAC matches had a definitive ending. It's the whole point of the match to cap off a feud. Nothing has been decided, Braun lost his MITB contract. It's like if the World Series was tied 3 to 3 and the players decided not to play the seventh game. There are certain things you expect to end and these matches are one of them.

I remember watching during the buildup of HIAC 2016, hearing Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins talking about "being afraid of the demonic structure" and how "once you enter you come out a different person" while I was munching on some cheddar and sour cream flavored Pringles like "but but a Hell in a Cell match is just a regular match with a cage around it..." while everyone went on with the yearly talk of them de-valuing Hell in a Cell and...

Guess I'm tot he point where I just expect the swerve, knowing cage matches are supposed to be "nobody comes in, nobody can get out... but cage matches in general always have interference for that reason, lol. Hell I remember for that Hell in a Cell that one the main talking point was how the interference was going to happen.

Sure, it makes no sense that it would end on a no-contest (I'd absolutely expect them to throw Mick Foley under the bus for that) but my thing with it is the cash-in.

If this was what was going to happen. This clusterfuck where he won the briefcase, did the honorable cash=in like everyone said he had to to look heroic, just to turn heel later that show... Everyone wondered it at the time. "Why would Braun Strowman win the briefcase? You could just announce him as a challenger lol, why not give it to Miz?" (which I countered with "do you really think they couldn't promote AJ Styles vs Miz for the WWE Championship at a TLC or a PPV like that?) that's looking really true in hindsight.

Silly me wasn't cynical enough. Sure, cages are modern-day bugzappers that send faction members running down to fight on top of like flies, but I didn't expect WWE to not just be doing shit in the name of selling T-Shirts with no plan beyond that.

I vote they change the name of this PPV to @Jacob Fox's name for it last year... Heck in a Fence.
This way we know that the "cell" is just a fence and can easily be overcome and the hell factor is gone cause "lolz" WWE doesn't acknowledge their own writing.
