Warning: The following recap was written spoiler free & was written by me before
reading/listening/watching any other opinions on this forum or the internet as a
whole. My opinions of this show are mine & mine alone without the outside influence
of anyone else.

I just want all those who read this to know I will NOT be going easy on the AEW &
I will happily call out anything I deem to be bullshit...just like I DID with that "other"
wrestling...I'm sorry...Sports Entertainment company.

Speaking of that "other" company...I will not be comparing this show to any of their
product...because fuck that other company...they already get enough attention.

If my opinions upset or annoy you...then all I can say is either harden up or fuck
off. I watched every minute of this show therefore I am free to be as critical as I
want.

Now with that "warning" out of the way...
Lets watch some fucking wrestling yeah?

+ AEW Dynamite Episode 1 +
~ I like the opening theme/intro video...its short, sharp & to the point...
~ And J.R is the first voice we hear...
~ Does Excalibur actually wrestle?
~ Wow...Tony Schiavone is giving me Nitro flash backs...
~ Running down the card...
~ The arena & overall production values look really good...
~ Cody vs. Sammy hype package? Okay...
~ Why is Sammy wearing a Panda skin?

+ Cody vs. Sammy Guevara +
~ I'm glad they kept doggo away from pyro this time...
~ Wow! Brandi is barely wearing anything! What a way to kick off the show!
~ Its like the crowd is cheering for Brandi not wearing pants! I know I am!
~ 20 minute time limit...
~ I'd say Cody is pretty over yeah?
~ Oh! & my favorite referee is here! Aubrey Edwards is best ref girl!
~ HA! I see a "Vince Fears Ratings" sign...

was a really cool finish...

~ Okay...so we are getting a tiny screen next to a larger screen for the
commercial breaks...and I'm watching/hearing an Xbox commercial while
Jericho smacks Cody up side the head with the title belt...WTF?!
~ Wow...these commercial breaks are pretty shitty...
~ And we are FINALLY BACK! Fuck that was bad...
~ And we can all see those chairs are heavily padded...
~ Why didn't anyone come out to help Cody? That Jericho attack seemed to
go on forever...just like that commercial break did.

+ Brandon Cutler vs. MJF +
~ MJF is very good at being an unlikable prick...
~ And MJF gets the win is what basically was a squash match...

~ JAY & SILENT BOB IN THE HOUSE!
~ And "Team Neon Green" are here to be jerks...
~ And now Private Party are here...
~ Tag team title tournament bracket! Lucha Bros vs. Jurassic Express!
I can't wait for that match!
~ SCU Washington promo...& now an interview with SCU...& Wow! Penta
& Fenix look REALLY weird in street clothes...Fight! Fight! Fight!

~ Pyro for Hangman Page!
~ Can I just say its so GREAT to see Pac wrestling on TV...
~ I can't believe Earl Hebner is still working...
~ Has Page put on weight?
~ Is it me or does "everyone" in the AEW use that standing shooting
star press?
~ Oh God...I'm not a fan of these "Picture in Picture" commercials...
~ Do the wrestlers know about these "commercial breaks"?
~ And we're back...Jesus...these "commercial breaks" are painful...
~ And Pac gets another win via submission! Hell Yeah! Put the AEW
title on that man!

~ Britt Baker is here! And she's on commentary for this match...
~ Britt...my teeth hurt! Can I nibble on you to make them feel better?

+ Riho vs. Nyla Rose +
~ Pyro for Nyla!
~ RIHO! I love You! (Nobody tell Charlotte I said that)
~ HA! Britt Baker looks pissed off...
~ I'm honestly still not sold on the AEW Women's title belt...it
just seems a little small to me...
~ So I have many, MANY issues with Nyla Rose & I'm not going into
it here...but all I'll say is it feels "wrong" & "off" to me that "she" is
competing with the women. It would be like a male weight lifter
getting a sex change & then competing against women at the
Olympics.
~ I also feel this may be AEW making a direct play to get the LGBT
community on board...& hell...I'm bisexual...but again...this just
feels "off" to me.
~ Matrix Escape by Riho!
~ The crowd is really behind Riho & I'd like to get behind Riho...
if you know what I mean...I'm sorry
~ That was a cool catch spot...
~ Why is Nyla going for a weapon?
~ Why isn't the ref making a 10 count?
~ And that splash to the outside on the stack of chairs made Nyla
look REALLY stupid...
~ I want Riho to stomp on me...Again I'm sorry
~ No! Not another "Picture in Picture" commercial break! Fuck that!
~ Meanwhile there is a title match going on but I can't focus on it
because I'm being forced to sit through a commercial for fucking heart
medication! I'm going to need some of that medication if these fucking

~ OH MY GOD! THAT ROLL THROUGH NEAR FALL! I ACTUALLY THOUGHT RIHO HAD IT!
~ Britt Baker has been quiet...
~ Another near fall!
~ AND RIHO GETS THE PIN WITH A DOUBLE RUNNING KNEE STRIKE! HELL YEAH!!!

+ Omega & The Bucks of Youth vs. Jericho & LAX + (Yes I'm going to keep calling them LAX...deal with it!)
~ Pyro for Jericho...
~ That AEW World title is a sexy belt...
~ Jericho is good value...
~ Omega is so fast in the ring...
~ LOOK OUT! ITS THE RABID CHIPMUCK KNOWN AS JON MOXLEY!!! (Seriously...
I'm glad Moxley is healthy again...staph infections are no joke. I lost three toes to one...
~ So...has the match been thrown out? Or is it a 2 on 3 fight now?
~ No...its a 2 on 3 match...
~ There is too much going on AEW...the cameras don't know what to show...
~ And through the (sugar)glass coffee table they both go...
~ HA! HE DID A PLANK DROP HEADBUTT!
~ And Jericho & LAX get the win with a sweet triple team Judas Effect...
~ The Judas Effect is growing on me as a finisher...I have to admit...
~ And Cody is back! As is Sammy Guevara! And now Dustin Rhodes!
~ AND NOW JAKE HAGER BRINGS THE SWAGGER! (You see what I did there?)
~ WE THE PEOPLE! WE THE PEOPLE! WE THE PEOPLE!
~ And the show goes off the air with the heels standing tall over the Elite...

+ Final Thoughts +
So...was this a perfect show?

No...it wasn't.

Those "Picture in Picture" commercials were pure torture & there was no
sign of Allie or the Big Lizard Luchasaurus...

BUT...(Brandi's Butt)

Did I enjoy it?

Yes...yes I did.

MJF, Pac & Riho all had wins...Moxley returned healthy & ready to fight...
Jake Hager showed up & made an impact & best of all the entire show
flowed nicely with no serious errors or fuck ups.

I have to be honest & say it felt like watching Nitro again...but good
Nitro...not "slowly killing the company" Nitro.

I am happy wrestling fans FINALLY have a viable "alternative" to that
other company & I will be focusing my full attention on AEW from now
on.

You could say I've picked a side...but truthfully...I just want to watch &
enjoy some wrestling...and I can no longer enjoy that other company...
even if I like & respect many of the performers that work there.

Thank you for this AEW...

Apparently there were some "Dark Matches" after the
show had gone off the air including Allie & Britt Baker
vs. Bea Priestley & Penelope Ford...which sounds like
it would have been extremely hot...I mean extremely
entertaining.

Solomonster is basically the only "wrestling content
creator" I follow on Youtube & I have to admit our
opinions & views do line up most of the time.

Hopefully next week we get that Lucha Bros/Jurassic
Express match...as well as Allie, Penelope Ford &
Orange Cassidy.

Its cool to be excited about wrestling again...

If you want to not watch WWE and not discuss them, then maybe don't bring them up every other post. Like, if they're that bad, just pretend they don't exist. Considering the majority of the AEW main event scene is ex WWE guys, including 3 former world champions, I don't see why bringing up WWE in the AEW section is an issue, especially when it was relevant to the conversation yall were having. Double especially when you consider how much AEW is trying to be like WWE, which was made entirely clear on this episode of Dynamite. It was like watching an old Nitro, complete with nonsense beat downs and an old washed up dude in the main event, which was really also just a modern WWE main event consisting of random 6-man tag action. And that's coming from a WCW diehard.

The picture in picture commercials do suck... but atleast they dont completely cut to commercials in the middle of matches where you dont know wtf is going on lol now THAT was always dumb. Every match had a commerical break it seemed. I dont mind seeing a small picture during commercials. I've got used to that watching nascar lol
