Dana White announced a day ago that Rashad was still the next in line for a title shot. He was meant to face Shogun at UFC 128 before he suffered an injury so it is good to know that he hasn't bee forgotten about.

Jones and Evans train together though so that will add some intrigue to the fight if Jones does win the title. What happens then will they not take the fight or will one of them change teams to ensure this fight happens?

Thoughts?

Rashad said he'd leave Greg Jackson if he had to fight Jones.

This "I won't fight a teammate" crap is getting old. Since there are like 3 major ones out there anymore and everyone is cross-training with other camps all the time, eventually everyone is a teammate.

Shuddup and fight like it's your job.

If some fighters become good friends I can see why they wouldn't want to hurt the other guy especially if they train with them every day.

It is good to hear that they would be willing to switch camps to ensure this fight happens. Jones vs Rashad would be a good fight that is if Jones can beat Shogun.

Rashad said he'd leave Greg Jackson's camp if Jones won, but personally I think he should drop to 185 maybe. Being a wrestler in that division is kinda easy, not gonna lie. He could cause problems for Anderson Silva too with his wrestling.

But I'm going on a tangent right now... So if Shogun wins, I guess we'll see Rashad/Shogun for the belt at 132, depending of Shogun has to get ANOTHER knee injury. But like Deezy said, if you have to fight a teammate, do it. It's your darn job. And I don't even think Rashad and Jon Jones are great friends at all actually, they've recently been talking some trash about eachother.

Not really talking trash Dademo just have been saying that they would not mind fighting each other. I just hate how Dana talks about how they can't be brothers after three years. I mean three years sure it seems like not long, but when you see that person almost all the 365 days of the year, then of course you will feel close to them. That is just me, so yeah either way Shogun or Jones fighting Rashad I will be interested in.

I get the whole bonding aspect that goes on between training camps, but no matter what. This is still a business, and you are paid to do. And if you are a top contender and you have a buddy who is a friend, be a professional and see who the better man is. Plenty of friends fight all the time, thats what close friends do. If you can't seperate business from personal, than you really need to get into a different field imo.

Well Rashad will fight Jon Jones and Rashad said he's done at Greg Jackson's camp. Interested to see when this fight will take place.

More interested in where Rashad would go to prepare for this fight. Maybe Zahabi in Montreal and Couture's gym in Vegas.

Just read that shortly after I posted that. Only a matter of time before the students strike out to become the teachers and he proved himself to be a helluva coach on TUF. Starting a new gym and training at the same time would be a difficult task. Hope it works out for Rashad since I am a fan. Ever since he did the Blue dance that pissed off Matt Hughes.

Not gonna lie, I'm not a huge fan of Rashad because of his Rampage beef, but this makes me lol so hard and makes me like him

Rashad vs. Jones... somewhat intrigues me but I don't see Rashad being able to do too well against that reach. He has to get in and he's kinda compact with his strikes. I'm just not that big of a Rashad fan to be honest.
