I have yet to watch a bad film of his. Just interested in what others think his best film is.

1. Prestige
2. The Dark Knight Rises
3. The Dark Knight
4. Batman Begins
5. Inception
6. Memento

I tried to watch Memento recently, and unfortunately could not get into it. Could be a factor that I had to pause it and head out for 5 minutes to do something, but it didn't grab me like it did the first time I watched it. Inception is definitely something I need to rewatch - but at this stage I can't put it ahead of the rest of his movies. Batman trilogy is absolute top notch stuff, but Prestige is an amazing flick that surprised the absolute hell out of me and is one of my favourite films of all time.

Also should try and get around to watching Insomnia and Following. Heard they are both good also.

1. Inception
2. Memento
3. Prestige
4. The Dark Knight
5. Batman Begins
6. The Dark Knight Rises

Though as I was discussing with Chris not to long ago. Jonathan Nolan is the brains of the operation as all good Nolan films involved his writting skills (memento was based off of his short story) and number 6 the entire last hour of the film is worthless.

I can't rank any of his films. I've enjoyed everything he's done. The Dark Knight trilogy was amazing, and Inception was great also. I haven't seen Memento or Prestige in it's entirety yet.

How come? Its one of his most moving films for me.

It's so bad? Moving? We are talking about the Pacino movie right? I'll pass any day of the week.

Yes and it is one of Pacino's better performaces of recent years.

The scene when he realises that he has shot his partner by mistake (Not a spolier it happens in the opening half an hour) and watches him helplessly is simply heartbreaking. Also the relationship with the rookie cop played by Hilery Swank and how she protects him late on is just wonderfully played. Love how he the foggy whether of the setting plays a part in the lead characters state of mind. Its like a Nolan film, but more subtle without the big setpieces.
