Seriously....a current top member of the roster (top quarter at worst...more like top 10%) can't beat the WWE Champion, but a guy who's been out of the WWE for 3 years is supposed to just come in and beat the WWE Champ? If Goldust could win cleanly over Orton, I'd be worried for Orton. Seriously.

Out of the kayfabe world, Goldust looked terrific and that match was not only a testament to the fact that Dustin is still in terrific shape (especially for a 42-year-old), but also a testament to how far Orton has come in making his opponents look good. Nobody seems to be giving him very much credit for the way he's sold in his matches for the last six months or so. I think he's actually made himself a better all-around pro wrestler. It's like the light came on for him and we've been reaping the benefits of his improvement.

I hate to say I was right but...

I was right.

When I said that a 2 month storyline is getting long, I meant that in the case of a NON-EVOLVING storyline. Daniel Bryan getting beat up night after night and everybody and they moms saying "best for business" every three sentences was good enough for a month and that's it. And they knew it.

So now we're gonna have an Orton/Bryan back and forth feud. The storyline doesn't end just because Bryan wins. It just evolved into something more. Now, if they decide to screw Bryan over again on RAW or something, than w/e, but at least he got to keep the belt for a night, which is more than he got to do at Summerslam.
