At Money In the Bank Randy Orton won the MITB All-Stars match which allows him to have a WWE Championship match anytime in the next year. Orton was one of two favourites to win the match and this finally gives him something to get him back into the title scene. He hasn't held the World title for two years and hasn't held the WWE title for three years. It has been a long time away from the title for one of the top guys in the company.

What are your thoughts on an established guy like Orton winning the WWE MITB briefcase? When would you like to see him cash it in? Do you think that he will be successful and win the WWE title for the 7th time?

To be fair the point of the all star mitb was an established guy winning it. No one who was in the match, especially if Kane was included, would be made by the case.

The case is just a plot point unlike the sd one which is used a trial run or test drive for a star. The plot point this time is heel Orton and its needed because Orton can't talk well enough as a heel to turn himself. It will just boost his turn and likely give Byran some added sympathy or further the claim of the case as being Cenas kryptonite

Don't see how anyone can complain about MITB now Bryan is getting his shot anyway (undeservedly).

Orton was the clear choice to win that match and probably needed it the most. I wouldn't say he was getting stale by any means but there was quite a large group of fans wanting him back in the big matches.

Just to add, god I hope he doesn't turn heel. He's one of the worst heels out there, such a waste of the best wrestler WWE have.

Yeah Bryan gets a proper shot, the IWC have nothing to complain about.

Randy's a dud as a face, like all WWE faces WWE takes all their personality away and inserts generic face program #001. Plus a heel Randy with the RKO hyped up as being able to be hit out of nowhere stalking SuperCena would be good.

Pretty much. Honestly I didn't really care for Orton winning it as I felt Bryan could have used it a tiny bit more and since I think WWE are just using Bryan as a tool to make Orton a main event heel again my care goes down even further. Frankly I can look past it as long as WWE doesn't totally kill Bryan's momentum.

Frankly it was much needed for Orton to win! I can't believe I'm saying this, but he's gone almost two years without the World or WWE Title. For someone who Vince wanted as big as Cena, two years is quite a while. Last time he was even in the title picture was when Mark Henry won the title from him at Night of Champions in 2011. I'm happy for Orton and just hope he has a proper run with the title when he wins it!

I'm completely okay with Orton winning, but I hope he doesn't cash in at Summerslam because I want to see him with the case a little while longer because I just like the idea of him being able to come out any time, someone as established as him. The whole "young guy winning" thing has been done so long, I'm liking them having more established guys winning it, especially with the WHC MITB still going on for younger guys.

He isn't severely injured, I wouldn't even go as far as to say he has a minor injury. He's hurt, that's it. He competed in a match with his 'injury' and tweeted afterwards that he's completely fine. The internet just likes to over exaggerate this sort of thing.

I'm truly surprised that someone in this thread said they don't want Orton heel because he's a terrible heel... That's just not true at all. Orton is one of, if not the best heel that WWE has had in the past decade. His run with Legacy was phenomenal. We need that Orton back.

On a sidenote, I really hope he waits a little longer before cashing in, Summerslam would just be too premature, he needs to bask in the glory of the MITB Briefcase for a while, maybe start a feud with RVD too.

He was so goddamn boring in his last run I think thats why everyone went off him.

The shitty match/feud with Trips, and the McMahon feud was pretty bad too. Then to add to that he changed his ring style down to a heel characters with all the restholds and shit. Worst thing about him was his robotic, slow ass promos that led nowhere.

He had a great gimmick when he was legend killer but he is a terrible heel IMO.

How many times does the audience have to turn Orton from heel to face to make any of the IWC realize that they just don't want to boo him? They turned him in 04, couldn't even boo him with Taker in 05. Kept cheering him with Legacy.......The audience doesn't want to boo Randy Orton, plus the fact that noone is replace him on the B-show house circuit as a bonified maineventer under Cena. Reys gone, Takers gone, there isn't anybody else there yet.

And again.....People don't want to boo him.

I'm with Cork on this one. Between his slow promos and boring style in the ring, he makes for a pretty awful heel. He was one of the main reasons why I consider 2009 to be such a terrible year for the WWE.

I'd much rather see him remain a face. He may still have faults as one, but I find his overall style is much more suited to it.

If they DO turn him heel, I suggest he cashes in at Summerslam after Bryan wins and Loses his shot.

Losing his free cash-in is the last straw on an awful 2 years and he snaps, beats the hell out of Bryan, security, Lawler, Cole, Lillian, hell, Timekeeper, plant a couple fans maybe for him to drag over the wall and belt a few times. Have him taken out in cuffs, a la Austin.

Then, when he comes back, he talks about how everything's been so awful the last couple years, wasting his talent on the "mid-card" with people who have no business in the ring with a 3rd generation.. blah blah blah, you get the drift.

You can get them to boo anyone if you make it bad enough.
