So during Monday night war era how do you think the wrestling scene would of looked if they guys had as many opportunities on the indies as the guys do today? What do you think it would look like where would guys go etc. Now that said I do understand that ECW was around too at that as well.

It's not like indies were non-existent back then; that question asks for many variables to fall into place.

It's presuming the American economy doesn't suffer in the Early 90s or that the wrestling business doesn't have all its problems back then.

Supposing nothing goes wrong, I'd certainly hope that companies like ECW, SMW (which closed just before the Monday Night Wars), the USWA, GWF, and NWA are still around and have decent local television deals if not regional syndication.

Those five entities should be the basis for a strong late-90s indy scene. I could definitely see guys like Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Chris Harris, and James Storm kicking around these companies at some point.

Pretty much what Grim is saying. I really think the wrestling scene below the top two were as strong as the indies today were, with the rise of the internet and having social media it made a lot of the things easier for wrestlers as well as small promotions to get their name out there. Back then in the attitude era, it really wasn't that simple for all that. IMO, that's the real difference and why indies grew so well through the 2000s and 2010s till now. I mean back then tape trading was the best way for fans to know a lot of smaller promotions and wrestlers.

Not until after the feud, shit just sucked lol I don't really blame Steiner (even if he was immobile), he didn't book the shitty Rumble match

Nah, Steiner gets some fault, cause he was immobile. Only memorable thing Steiner did in WWE is him botching off the damn ring apron when trying to hit Test on the outside.

I've thought of this question a lot, if you could see any 2 people have a promo battle, who would you pick? Me personally, I would love to see one with John Cena and Eddie Kingston
