It's a shame it happened, and although I see Perfects perspective, it more depends on when he began drugs and his influences.
While he's a great actor too, nowhere near as sympathetic towards him as the people from Syria, who die due to the ridiculous levels of persecution.
And just because he's famous, doesn't make him any more important to me than your average person. Unlike many people I see online, I won't automatically feel more sympathytowards him than other people who aren't famous but are in similar situations.
