WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer. Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years.

Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans

This is sad. Paul Bearer was my favorite manager of all time and to hear of his passing is just shocking to me.

I feel bad now. Starting the day with this sad news. Bearer was my all time favorite manager. He was great on camera, and played his role very good. Was entertaining to watch his promos. Man, I am going to miss this guy!!!

R.I.P. William Moody!

:downer:

I remember watching him growing up. He always made me laugh. He was such a good manager for all ages.
I am sure they will have something on Raw in his memory. I am shocked he died so young though.

Was just reading about this; so sorry to hear about his passing. He was from my state, too. :downer:

On his website, Moody wrote of Mobile: "I love to talk about my hometown wherever I travel. For years I was on the road close to 300 days a year. My friends and family sometimes think that the grass is greener away from the Gulf Coast. I am here to tell you that Mobile is the place to be, there is no place like home!"

I did learn something new though -- hadn't realized in real life he was a licensed funeral home director and embalmer. Hate to hear he passed -- just shocking news.

I grew up watching the guy manager The Undertaker. I remember, that the first time I encountered him I was terrified from his character. As time went along I learned to love his persona. No one knows how hard it is for someone like me, to find out that someone who I used to grew up on, passes away. It's sad. And yes, I'm crying. And that might not make me a man, but I respect the hell out of the people I grew up watching.

Rest In Peace, William Moody!

Naw man, it makes you more of a man imo. If you can admit you are crying because we lost someone, it to me makes you strong. I dunno, but it does suck.

R.I.P. Mr. Bearer. Will probably be a tribute either on Smackdown or Main Event this week. Or RAW this Monday.

CM Punk made fun of Jerry Lawler's heart attack on Raw, so expect him to tell Undertaker that after Wrestlemania, Undertaker and his streak will rest in peace along with Paul Bearer.

Guess that probably confirms 100% who's winning at Wrestlemania.

If he does that during his feud with Undertaker, he will be the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen in the WWE.

Which will be the whole point. Imagine the heat he would then get if he ended the streak.

If Taker is okay with it Punk will do it. Punk would probably do it anyway.
