Mike Mooneyham is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young has been taken off life support. Things are looking bleak, so keep her in your prayers. She is one of a kind.

The Great Johnnie Mae Young has passed away at the age of 90.

The Charleston Post-Courier reported this morning that Young, a member of the WWE and Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame, passed away early this morning in her home in Columbia, SC. She had been taken off life support only hours before.

Young broke into the business in the 1930s and was considered one of the toughest women in the history of the business. She returned to prominence during the Attitude Era when she became a regular on WWF TV alongside Fabulous Moolah.

and now they are reports she's still alive.

Mike Mooneyham of The Charleston Post & Courier in South Carolina, who has been reporting updates on Mae Young since she was hospitalized in December, has retracted his report and says she has not passed away after he incorrectly reported it earlier. Young is still very gravely ill, but she is still hanging on. You can read the newspaper’s retraction at this link. Mooneyham also tweeted:

When I got death hoax about Celine Dion and Constance Marie on my facebook, the first place I went to was google.com to find out if they were true. They were both alive and well, but when I searched Mae Young I found she is not dead, but she is very very ill right now. I'm sure somebody jumped the gun, but it's probably going to be within the month of January like it was during Elizabeth Taylor's last days.

Well she was on life support. It made sense for her to have died shortly after that. Mae Young is a tough woman. Off Life Support and still here? Wow, talk about testament. PREACH IT MAE YOUNG!! lol
