Punk sure has better material than Hogan has had for a majority of his career but it's still hard to go against someone that can get that kind of crowd reaction. Still, I'm goin' with Punk.

CM Punk has basically said the same type of promos since he started, not saying Hogan was any different, straightedge and better than you is basically his version of well you know something brother.

Ventura on the otherhand was by far better tahn both, because he never said the same thing twice and got over people who wouldn't have gotten over with his commentary work. And I doubt Punk or Hogan could talk their way into a governors chair.

Plus he was in Running Man.

This was crazy tough, I went with Hogan in the long run, his nWo run did it for me.

I have to say... I am actually relieved to see Hogan win over Punk. Cause pretty much if it wasn't for that Punk "shoot" on Raw he wouldn't even be in the talks like he has been with the mic.

I hate that perception cause it seems like people want to act like he hadn't cut great promos before that to SES, his straight edge heel run, Nexus run, OVW work and of course his indy work alone allows him to be in the convo. The shoot was a career definer but don't think it's right to ignore his career before that point unless you never saw it.

Okay the way I said it makes it seem like I'm speaking for myself when I'm not. I know how good of a promo guy he is. I've seen his stuff in the Indies and everything. I know he is the goods without a doubt.

But I'm talking about these young bucks here that only know what they seen since 2002 or whatever they happen to see in WWE and don't bother to look up any history or know anything about the past. Like they wouldn't dare think that Bubba Ray could actually cut a good promo cause all they saw from him was WWE and TNA. They wouldn't know that Joel Gertner was a hell of a heel and good on the mic cause they didn't see his work back then.

Instead to them... all CM Punk is... that shoot.

So yeah just clarifying that I know how good Punk is. But I also know how some of these kids on here are as well.

Yeah that is why I said I hate that perception since I know exactly what you meant. I was just speaking in general.
