I love Taker, but this one isn't even close. Backland was THE Champ for a rather lengthy time, and he was the Champ at a time when it really meant you were THE top guy. Taker for the most part, was a transitional Champ, and was never really intended to be THE Champ at any point in his career. He was A Champ -- which is still something -- but never THE Champ. If that any makes sense...

I went with Backlund because Taker's legacy is more about The Streak than it is about the World Titles he has held. I mean, in retrospect, his World Title reigns didn't really mean all too much as he was merely holding it for someone to take it from him. He is a main attraction, but not a main draw whereas Backlund was a main draw back in the day and was champion because of that.

I have to agree with you guys, Undertakers reigns are not very memorable and i think they could have timed him as a champion better. As far as i remember he never held the title when he was the leader of the ministry which i thought was his best character. Then you have the title reigns late last decade which were pretty bad imo.

I went with Taker. Pretty much for being the man that killed what was going to look like a horribly long Hogan reign. Just pure Hogan hate really.

Close because I think you can make a case for both for different reasons. I went with Taker, but not by much.

Went with Undertaker because I thought that he had a couple of strong title reigns compared to Backlund's one good title reign.
