Damn this just made me realize I just finished my first semester of college when this PPV came out.

Shit, I was on my fourth grade winter break. I don't know if I say this PPV, though. I didn't watch the PPV events regularly until about 1996.

I usually saw WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam. The family was mostly WWF, I got into WCW by myself and loved it.

Yeah Booty, Fuji, and I are the resident old timers. My started with WWF in 1984 right after Hogan won the strap.

They were great I would put them up against JR and Kind in the attitude era, they were golden then as well.

They were golden as well. Especially when King was actually allowed to be himself. I would put them just behind our WCW team, though.

Yeah it is a toss up between them. I also loved Ventura and McMahon along with Monsoon and Heenan. Have we ever done a best commentator thread?

Yeah it is a toss up between them. I also loved Ventura and McMahon along with Monsoon and Heenan. Have we ever done a best commentator thread?

I'd say Schiavone/Heenan followed by King/Ross, and I think my third is overlooked combination of Ventura/Schiavone.

They did a few WWF events in '89 and WCW events in '93.

That was when Slaughter was behind the Iraqi army and Hogan came back for the save if memory serves me correctly.

It was. I never saw when Slaughter was supposed to be a good guy, so I always saw him as the Iraqi sympathizer.

I didn't know much about Hogan either, so I was more of a Macho Man and Warrior fan.
