This movie is definitely a horror film. Quite different from Aliens which was more action. I hate it when outlets or other people consider Aliens a horror film. Far from it.

The slow pan of the interior shows are so eerie, Ridley Scott knows how to direct suspense.

I mentioned it in my review months ago but I love the way the Nostromo set looks. It's futuristic but old looking at the same time, like its a weathered vessel.

John Hurt is so diverse. Despite being a renowned actor I feel he is very underrated.

Yeah, a little bit, the idea of ambient soundtracks in horror films is not a new one, but Alien was definitely an originator.
