In hindsight it makes sense but I think at the initial moment anyone sees it for the first time they're more scared because of how close it is to her and forget that it wouldn't just let her go.

The single Xenomorph in this film works very fast by comparison to the one in the first.

There are two reasons for that. One Cameron changed how it moved around. In the first one only it walked like a biped, on it's back feet. Then in this one, it's evolved from an animal so it's even more beast-like.

Yeah, clearly they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Watching this explosion scene on Blu Ray for the first time is insane. Clearly they spent a lot of money on this part.

Yeah, at least they established that here. It's so out of nowhere in the theatrical version that it comes across stupid.
