Thanks for the shouts guys, really appreciate them.

Just like the last time we saw Paul Bearer, he was being left tied up in a freezer by Kane, yet Kane is pissed about Punk interrupting his memorial ceremony.

Yeah, pro wrestling is weird like that.

Is it bad that I had trouble taking that part of the build seriously due to Bearer's last appearance?

No, but I can overlook it, there's quite a few examples of things in wrestling like that.

The guy has died, show some respect for the legend and what he has done for the WWE.

Why?
Why are you being so disrespectful to a dead person who is considered by many as the greatest manager in WWE history?

I respect him but he's not the greatest manager in WWE history. It's a well known fact that Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is the greatest manager in WWE History. Paul Bearer is 7th.

So it's okay to bash people when they are alive but it's terrible if they do it when they are dead?

Assuming you dislike Justin Bieber, like most of the population that isn't a female teen or a creepy mother, would you suddenly respect him if he died?

Just wondering....I never understood that sort of mindset. Just because someone dies doesn't mean your opinion suddenly changes for the better because they are no longer here. If someone were disrespecting him to his family's face, I could see a difference here. That is just plain uncool to say it to them, but, alas, this is just a forum, where the chances of his family reading it is fairly slim to none.

Anyway, Punk is looking to take some time off, so, my prediction is that he is going to get absolutely annihilated at WM as the excuse to be written out so he can have that time off.

I don't think he'll be annihilated to be honest. I think it will come really close like most Undertaker matches now just to add to the occasion, and then when Punk loses, he's in disbelief and isn't to be seen for a while. That way he can rest and get repackaged for his return, which I'm presuming will be some sort of tweener role.

Disrespecting the dead does seem like something that would be more offensive towards family/friends of the deceased than anyone else. I for one defended Bearer because I've always been a fan, personally.

...are you just not 'getting it'? Asking that nicely, btw. I just don't know what part of that post was hard to understand. It's a fairly logical post.

If someone has a certain opinion about Bearer, they don't have to change their opinion just because he is dead. I personally respect Bearer because I liked him as a manager. My favorite manager will forever be Bobby Heenan, and a few others guys, I put ahead of Bearer, but, anyway, the whole 'omg you shoud be respecting the dead!!1!!1' attitude is stupid. If someone doesn't respect him alive, they shouldn't have to just because he's dead.

I don't get why that is so hard for you to understand...just because YOU like and respect Bearer doesn't mean everyone else had to. I am not saying it's cool for someone to go piss on his grave but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and shouldn't have to change it because someone died. Just let them have an opinion.
