Ah, it's a bullshit article then. No manager would deny those two, not with their pedigree. I've read from numerous sources that Spurs are desperate for Gaal, but Gaal himself is holding out to see if Moyes is sacked as he would prefer to manage United (completely understandable). Levy reportedly isn't too keen on that but I'm guessing he'll understand it from a business point of view. Regardless, his decision to sack Harry, hire AVB, and then fire him for Sherwood is what stopped Spurs reaching their potential. Sacking Harry was so clueless.
It's an Italian article, so them pushing for an Italian is understandable. I personally am hoping for either Gaal or de Boer. We need someone who gets British/Spurs football.

If I were a Spurs fan, I'd want de Boer. Gaal has a reputation for falling out with players and for some reason I can see that sort of backstage drama happening at Tottenham. Your squad isn't good enough at the moment to challenge what Levy wants you to challenge and what Van Gaal would be expected to challenge, so fights will be had, and he'd quickly lose the squad. de Boer however is a manager who succeeds with little, and his style of play is admirable (watching Ajax destroy Barca at their own game was one of the most enjoyable matches I have watched).

Give young managers a chance, just look at Rodgers and Martinez right now.

Whoever takes over spurs I hope they give Lamela a chance to shine
To be fair to AVB and Sherwood, Lamela has been utter shite for them both in training and on the pitch, so would them playing him because of his reputation be a mistake? I think so. Let him earn his spot.

Agreed. Spurs challenging for absolute top spot is far out of reach right now. We need to develop the squad some more before we can do that. Top four/five? Yeah, top two? Nope.

I'm all for giving young managers a shot and taking time to develop. The longer the wait, the sweeter the taste.

I spent a solid 10 minutes in a Skype call with him and Xanth earlier, and we were just laying into him about Sunderland being a championship team, and he actually rage-quit the call.
Hahaha wish I could of saw it I look forward to the moment sunderlands relegation is confirmed I expect to see lots of threads in the sports section ripping Jonathan

Sunderland however continue their retardation. Do well against the big teams but absolutely dreadful against anyone else.

I think it's because the big teams attack us and we're camped in our 18 yd box, so they leave gaps which we can counter-attack in. The shitter teams sit back with 8+ men behind the ball and we have no creative talent to make something work. We get to the box and are stuck.
