Fedora 18 just came out too, and Mint 14 is nice too. Use XFCE or Cinnamon though, not Gnome, MATE, or KDE.
It's an emachines windows 7 laptop. Don't know the full specs on it. The thing wrong with it is a cracked screen so it is basically a glorified storage unit right now for things I don't want/need on my desktop computer or my HP Laptop.
