I don't see much legitimacy to this. It is still too far off from the Rumble. I know it's Wrestlemania XXX but if someone else gets hot between this time between now and the Rumble they could get the rub, not Punk. I'd say if he is in the match though he is the overall favorite at this point.

Yeah, I sure as hell wouldn't mind Punk/Cena one more time at Wrestlemania XXX, I think it would be a very fitting match considering their past together and defining this era. Also what are the chances the match wouldn't be any good? C'mon MAN.

Do we really need another Punk/Cena match? Don't get me wrong it has been a solid series but they will never top their 2011 classic, and it is time for both to move on. Even if you have Cena/Taker it doesn't have to main event. Maybe they can have Punk/Lesnar for the title.

No way Cena vs Taker should be on any undercard, that is like, the only true dream match that can still be made.

No title is bigger than that match, or the streak in general.

agree with this 100%, if Cena/Taker is happening there is nothing that could possibly be bigger.... I'm just not sold on that match happening at this year's Mania, it makes sense from a historical perspective with it being the 30th and all... but I have to think that Cena is gonna be Taker's last Mania opponent in his final match and I don't think he's gonna be ready to hang em up just yet.... You could do Brock/Taker, Cena/Punk, and an idea I had would be for Triple H to be targeted by the Shield and it culminates with a six man tag at Mania where it's the Shield vs. a reunited Evolution... only big name that doesn't cover is The Rock but from the sound of things, he might not be willing or able to work the show anyway...

Shield vs Evolution would be brilliant.

Shield would need to go on a tear again though, losing to jobbers like Usos hasnt helped their cause.

Agreed, I'm hoping they have something bigger and better in place for Summerslam and this Uso nonsense is just to have them on the card while bigger names are tied up in the MITB matches

Punk's a guy who will most certainly have a Royal Rumble win on his resume by the end of his career, so might as well get it out of the way now. The Royal Rumble has become something that nearly every top tier wrestler in the company wins at one point or another.

Of course Punk is gonna win the Rumble, it's almost always somebody who hasn't won it before, and it's almost always a main eventer. The notion that they would give the Rumble to someone like Bryan or Ziggler over Punk is flat out laughable, and I don't see any other major contenders at present. The fact that he's also now a babyface, which the Rumble winner traditionally is, only aids his chances.

Sheamus won the Rumble, theory disproved.

Everybody knows the Rumble winner curtain jerks at Mania.

Also, the WHC match going on first isn't "curtian jerking", it's to put one of the important matches on first to start the show off hot, and that's the most expendable one to them.

Was he at the time? I get that he had already held the title, but that was a very rushed push on WWE's part, the rumble win gave him the final push to full time top teir guy. Del Rio maybe a better example.

I can't see Punk closing out anything on a card that will most likely have Rock, Lesnar, Cena and Taker on it.
