I mean, in the SM/USUM, I've enjoyed the stories for them in that I actually care about the characters around me, and have appropriate emotions regarding them. The complaints just come with two sets of games in a row where it is based in the same region, and having the same base story (but there are a couple of key changes in US/UM which do change the ending and some characters). Since some people are playing it 2-4 times eventually it loses some of its luster. It is a shame since I felt the story was one of the stronger ones in the series.

For what I'd want:

Multiple save files if possible.

Difficulty options from the start.

Expand both Mega evolutions and z-moves (my friend made me hate z-moves though, since 99% of his strategies as of late is to just use a weird move as a z-move which boosts stats)

At least more options in the story. The story is good, having a strong narrative is good, and even if for the most part you end at the same point, give more opportunities for us as the player to *think* we are controlling parts of the plot.

More physical fairy type moves... May be specific, but they have no low level physical moves... Or any other than play rough.

Continue to expand trainer customization.

And, add another thing in the post game other than a Battle Maison/tree like thr Battle Frontier, just to give something for the non-competetive people. The filthy casuals.

I am all for new mons and having multiple save files but I still want to see more megas, even if they only give us 6 new ones. I enjoy using them in competitive and greatly prefer they stick around with some refreshers added. And yeah new Eeveelutions are due. Even if we only get one new one in the next game (hoping for Ghost myself).

Z-move Growl: Growling into a megaphone.

The story in Sun and Moon is really good. Gamefreak has a strong grasp on that, I think.

I want an aftergame that actually feels fulfilling. There hasn't been a truly great post-game since Heartgold.

I want an Eevee for every type. Ideally I'd have two per generation. I think a normal type Eeveelution should be a mega evolution. As for the types I'd want to see, it'd be steel and ghost for me.

Which six Pokemon would you assign megas to, assuming that it's just six? I'd personally go with Butterfree, Farfetch'd, Xatu, Magcargo, and if none of them get evolutions...either Pachirisu, Octillery, or Basculin.

If I had to pick only 6, I would pick 6 that could use the boost.
Gen 2 starters (THEY WERE SKIPPED!!) for sure. As for the other three, I would have to really debate on this. I do want to see a Mega Snorlax still. Maybe a Mega Vespiquen since that thing is basically useless as is lol. Then for the last one... Mega Sawsbuck mainly because it can bring out a terrain depending on the season. That one is a bit far-fetched (lol) but it could be useful.

Farfetch'd, you say? That could be an interesting mega....

I really like your idea for Sawsbuck, though. Maybe its normal typing changes with the season?

Z-move Growl: Growling into a megaphone.

He raised a z-splash Delibird...DELIBIRB!

And it dies from almost any attack...And he'll complain about "not letting me try new Pokemon" when he brings that. Because my options are A: faint it to just save time or B: let it somehow set up and risk having to say my Noodles got killed by the Christmas bird!

I want an aftergame that actually feels fulfilling. There hasn't been a truly great post-game since Heartgold.

I mean, they don't need to go full-blown second region, but we need something extra. There is the Delta Episode in ORAS which was pretty cool (You fly on a Dragon in space to destroy a meteor and capture Deoxys...insta-win) and the Rainbow Rocket Episode in Ultra Sun and Moon which was fun

And you get to battle every single evil leader, and you get to battle WITH LILLIE AND GUZMA!

The issue is that they are somewhat short. It doesn't need to be as long as the main story, but I wish it'd take more than an hour or two max.

Also, for Mega Evolutions:

Johto Starters:

Feraligtr a Water/Dragon type giving it the ability of Sheer Force (it's hidden ability)

Typhliosion I'd make a Fire/Steel type with Drought (and access to Flash Cannon)

For Mr. Stake (Meganium) I'd make it a Grass/Fairy Type (and access to Dazzling Gleam or Moonblast), but give it the ability Grassy Terrain.

Luxray, giving it an Electric/Dark Typing, a decent speed boost and the ability Tough Claws.

Gen 5, hmm...Not too familiar with the gen so I say Chandelure, giving it maybe Prankster?

Gen 6, NOT GRENINJA YOU GAVE IT ENOUGH! WHY IS ASH GRENINJA A THING IN THE GAMES!? IT IS PRACTICALLY A FUCKING MEGA EVOLUTION AFTER IT GETS A KILL THAT CAN USE AN ITEM INCLUDING Z-MOVES!

The sad thing is that I know they'd totally give it a mega regardless. I cite Salamence, Metagross, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza as proof.

As for after game stuff, yes, an entire second region isn't a requirement, but I want something that takes a while and is fulfilling to complete. Catching two Pokemon isn't a fulfilling aftergame. I want something longer than that little questline.

Also, after hopping on Moon to see what else I want in the new game, I expand my list:

-Bring back HMs. The riding pager or whatever is annoying.
-Make my lead Pokemon follow me like in Heartgold.
-Let the player set running to automatic like in Heartgold.
-ROLLER SKATES!
-Make Pokemon Center doors open automatically whenever you walk into them instead of forcing me to press the A button. Seriously, why did they feel the need to make the player press a button after YEARS of never having to do it?
-Give a trainer a legendary Pokemon. I wanna fight against a trainer that carries legendaries.
-Safari Zone. 'Nuff said.
-Stop giving me a "best friend" a start giving me a rival. Gladion was interesting; Hau was flat.

No... Bidoofs are friends, not HM slaves. Also, I like having Machamp push boulders for me and riding on a freaking Bull Smashing rocks for money (great way to grind for cash in the post-game).

.

Nice, but not required.

-ROLLER SKATES!

That was for the "French region"

-Sincerly, the French Canadian.

I don't mind it since you won't run into buildings by accident.

-Give a trainer a legendary Pokemon. I wanna fight against a trainer that carries legendaries.

They did it before with N and in the Rainbow Rocket Mission in this game. Not to mention you face a non-catchable legendary in Ultra Sun and Moon (and it legit took me 6 tries to beat it)

-Safari Zone. 'Nuff said.

I don't see wynaut?

-Stop giving me a "best friend" a start giving me a rival. Gladion was interesting; Hau was flat.

I agree to this. I mean, it doesn't have to be outright complete douche like Blue and Silver, but a competitive rival can be a nice change of pace.

I like actually having to catch a Pokemon to use a move instead of having a dozen Pokemon thrusted onto me randomly.

The French have the right idea about the skates.

And it was awesome fighting N. I'm ignoring anything that happened in Moon's aftergame and the entirety of Moon 2 since I hate them both.

I'd like a serious rival and a douche champion.

I don't know how I forgot it, but I want gyms to return as well.

Man, I love Unova, but I hate the levels that some Pokemon evolve. Volcarona? Level 59. Ridiculous, but it kiiiinda makes sense, since it's some sort of powerful psuedo god. Still not a good idea. Hydreigon? 64. Even for a psuedo legendary this is flat out ridiculous. The majority of games won't even have you be at that level by the end. Even worse, its pre-evos have no other ability than hustle, so you're missing constantly for 63 turns. Mandibuzz and Braviary? They're just common birds, what are they, 28, 30? Try 54. Why on god's green earth is that a thing? Bisharp? Level 52. Meinshao? 50. Haxorous? Oh wait, that one's normal at 48, I nearly expected that to be level 99.5

Worst part isn't even the high level, it's that all those pre-evos, every single one of them, are all useless, major pains in the ass

If a Pokemon takes that long to evolve, I usually don't even bother with them or they sit in the back of my party with a booster on.

Also, to mix things up from me being a super positive person, here are some of my least favourite Pokemon in no order.

Ledyba/Ledian

-Odd choice, but when it is your first encounter in a nuzlocke...and you're forced to use it, you realize how bad it is. Plus, it seems as if that the few times I play Pokemon Go, those buggers are crawling everywhere no matter where I am in town WHEN YOU JUST WANT A FREAKING MUDKIP!

Arceus

-When a friend brings this to battle...Just because you keep beating him... That, and every kid with PokeGen online uses it. Prevents me from joining online battles. NEXT

Ash-Greninja

-Regular Greninja, fine, protean Greninja, annoying to face, but this....THIS IS ESSENTIALLY A MEGA-EVOLUTION WHEN IT GETS A KILL THAT CAN USE AN ITEM! It goes from base 530, to 640! That is more of a stat boost than Mega Evolutions! Then, Water Shuriken gets to be 20 power instead of 15 and always hits three times...plus STAB...And someone may ask "If you kill it first, then it must be fine, right?" NO! With its speed, attacking power both ways and move-pool, it'll kill.

Walrein...

-I got swept by one before, deal with it.

Diggersby

-Disgusting design, it's cry is it puking, yet sadly good enough where I have to deal with it.

Elemental Monkeys

-It is an interesting concept, just they all aren't the best in battle... Used to hate them more, but then Chuggaaconroy's B/W playthrough, he has one he temporarily used and it became less hated. Now I just dislike it. Plus, there is a better Fire-Monkey and it also knows Kung Fu ;3

One I used to hate:

Lurantis

-The trial in Sun and Moon was pure evil...It legit made me hate that Pokemon and it was a pain to deal with. But why has it gone down? The Ultra Sun and Moon trial was still potentially hard if I didn't have Hawlucha, but it was not as hard as some other trials in the game. Plus
