I mean, in the SM/USUM, I've enjoyed the stories for them in that I actually care about the characters around me, and have appropriate emotions regarding them. The complaints just come with two sets of games in a row where it is based in the same region, and having the same base story (but there are a couple of key changes in US/UM which do change the ending and some characters). Since some people are playing it 2-4 times eventually it loses some of its luster. It is a shame since I felt the story was one of the stronger ones in the series.
For what I'd want:
Multiple save files if possible.
Difficulty options from the start.
Expand both Mega evolutions and z-moves (my friend made me hate z-moves though, since 99% of his strategies as of late is to just use a weird move as a z-move which boosts stats)
At least more options in the story. The story is good, having a strong narrative is good, and even if for the most part you end at the same point, give more opportunities for us as the player to *think* we are controlling parts of the plot.
More physical fairy type moves... May be specific, but they have no low level physical moves... Or any other than play rough.
Continue to expand trainer customization.
And, add another thing in the post game other than a Battle Maison/tree like thr Battle Frontier, just to give something for the non-competetive people. The filthy casuals.
