The way I see it is like this. If I wanted to I could likely go through the many dictionary sites available online or in a bookstore, and I will eventually find a definition for the word sport that agrees with my variation on the dictionary.com definition. Hell, look at the merriam-webster defintion of sport:

Far different from the one I gave earlier, and more sympathetic to my definition.

I dunno what else to say. I guess in the end definitions are subjective to each person.

Well also in the world its consider a sport

on the news when they get to sports they talk about Nascar...

on sports sites(don't count ESPN) I see Nascar all the time on all of the ones I go to...See it under alot of things to do with sports...and I never see Poker under any of them expect ESPN...and I said don't count ESPN in none of this anyway..

Case in point...Its consider a sport...so yeah

It is considered a sport by those who do not follow the proper meaning of sport rather the bastardization of the word.

However my point has been made. Nascar requires no active physical exertion, and therefore is not sport. Not to mention the fact that the english language is being desecrated every single day.

Well still its classfied as a sport so there for it should be consided a sport...I mean really think about it...Someone could come over here and clam Football is not a sport....I know it is you know we all know..and I mean US Football btw....but just because he says it doesn't make it right does he...but still I would say thats your own personal opinion then tell em what I think...which I have and ways to prove it..

Poking your ass is more "sporty" than Nascar.

Basketball (you have to run and jump)
Baseball (you have to hit a ball coming at you)
Football (you have to be tough as fuck)
Soccer (You have to have great stamina)
Tennis (sorta..but you have to have great conditioning..and you actually run)
Golf (this is kinda in the middle...but I'm counting it)
Hockey (You have to be tougher than shit)
